You Know What They Say About Love

Challenge: IdiomLiner Notes
Here's my idiom #challenge contribution...
Yes, I have used a significant number of 'love' clichés here. And, yes, I've definitely overused the word 'baby'. Deal with it.
Wanted to do something fun and breezy in a #motown #pop sort of style, with a touch of #beatlesque chucked in for good measure.
It's all kind of throwaway, but I had fun making it and that's the main thing, right?!
Lyrics
They say love is blind
But I see you
The apple of my eye
And the banana too
Oh, it’s true
It’s all in the way I love you, baby
Yes, I do
You know what they say about love, now baby
I’m head over heels
You swept me off my feet
A love this real
Makes me feel complete
Oh, it’s true
It’s all in the way you love me, baby
Yes, you do
You know what they say about love, now baby
Baby, I feel a little lighter when you’re around
Maybe I feel a little better too
Daylight seems a little brighter when you’re in town
How sweet it is to be loved by you
You stole my heart
Like a thief in the night
When we’re apart
It just don’t feel right
Oh, it’s true
It’s all in the way I love you, baby
Yes, I do
You know what they say about love, now baby
Oh, it’s true…
Yes, I do
You know what they say about love, now baby
They say I love you

Yes, it was a cheeky banjo line in my versh of Stephen's lyric btw...thanks for noticing...😄
Great, great song. If I tried singing like that, I'd be hoarse for a week after. Terrific job! ❤️
Might be throwaway but it's also a keeper
