Hi Nadia,

I sent you an email, but you may not have received it. Did you?
I am now ready to do a demo of our Casablanca song, but I need a clean recording. The one here that I have been working with, seems to have been recorded at a low volume and if I put it up to a volume where I can record vocals over it, then it starts distorting.

Thanks, Nadia! AI would suggest something like:
"Oh, my muse, you're the fire in my soul,
In your presence, inspiration takes its toll.
With every word, every touch, every glance,
You're the source of my art, my eternal romance"
That's because it's more interested in end rhymes than making sense. And it's very formulaic, it has to squeeze words into a template. Doesn't do it for me, though I see a lot of people use it - my AI detector goes berserk sometimes!

Nadia, your comments on @trebled's and my collab, Granite and Glass, just made my whole day! I had to smile when you said you clicked on it again when it stopped playing, because that's exactly how I feel about what Del did with these lyrics. I listen, and then I immediately want to hear it again. I don't know how musicians do that, but it is great when they do! Thanks for your generous enthusiasm.

Hi Nadja. I am open to collaboration on Music Only #4 and I trust you all to work on it on your own, that is if you like to. You have total freedom with the details of the lyrics and melody. I can send you the piano backing audio track that is transposed to a better key if a female singer needs that.

I wasn't sure if I made this clear in a hurry, and I apologize for that. If this doesn't work that's ok too.

Nadia, Your comments on Granite and Glass are beautifully lyrical in themselves. Thank you for the attention you paid to this. Yes, I definitely chose to approach Del on these lyrics because based on what he had posted, I had confidence he could capture the mood I envisioned. He exceeded my expectations. I love the harms and the way he made the lyrics come to life. Thank you for your attention and kindness.

Hi Nadja. Thanks for the suggestion. My summer vacation ends soon so I'm sorry I don't have time to be very active with collaborations. That's why I prefer that lyricists contact me.

The vocals and piano in Music Only #4 are on separate tracks. ( EDIT: The melody that is played by the piano is on a separate track from the piano accompaniment.) In fact, the piano is a midi track so it can be even transposed to fit for example female vocals. All these Music Only songs are open for any kind of collaboration but the idea is for me to get 50 songs done in the easiest and quickest way. I've never tried to do songs this way so this is very much an experiment and I'll learn by doing. Please feel free to ask anything and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

You've been kind enough to comment on a couple of songs that I've been involved in, Nadia, and I appreciate that. I've listened to a number of your compositions. They're all very good. I'm just disappointed to tell you that I am no good at inventing stories to go with someone else's music. While I'd love to contribute to your compositions, I don't have the proper skillset to help out. I hope some of the other members of FAWM can do justice to your compositions.

Hi, Nadia, I'm glad you enjoyed @gwynjones' and my collab on My Heart On A Racetrack. I always enjoy writing lyrics, but the actualization of them into a song remains a mystery to me. I was so pleased--and impressed--when Gwyn came back with this bluegrass treatment so quickly. I think it fits exactly what I had in mind, but I didn't know it! That's the talent of the musician, as you well know, since you cast the same magical spell every time to sit down at the keyboard. Thanks for commenting!
