Hey thank you loads for the support, it means so much!!! <3 Maybe we can do a collab during February! :)
[avatar]
Thank you for the many encouraging comments on my songs.
[avatar]
It was a pleasure to collaborate with you Nadia, you did a wonderful job with the music and Cola sang beautifully. I hope to collaborate with you again sometime.
[avatar]
I'm glad you had a chance to hear "Walking Away", Nadia. As always, I appreciate your kind comments. Hopefully we can "see" each other in February when the next edition of FAWM is available.
[avatar]
Hi Nadia, I heard from Hannah today. She sent me a track with the vocals for Frosty Roses. I forwarded it to you :) It's beautiful!
[avatar]
Thank you for the kind words on Things You Made Me Do - I appreciate it, and your optimism regarding their future šŸ™‚šŸŽ¶
[avatar]
Thanks for voicing your positive impressions of "Why U Wanna Take All Ur Love Away". While I can't speak for @cts I can assure you that for me the collab was both fun, funky and fruiticious (if that even is a word). ;)
[avatar]
Hi, Nadia, so glad you discovered Beautiful Dreamers, a collab with @bunter (Billy Playle.) Thanks for your enthusiasm for our song. It was fun to work with Billy again. I like the little riff he did at about 1:40 and the overall feel of his music. Glad you enjoyed it, too.
[avatar]
Thanks so much for commenting on "I Can Do It (Yes I Can).ā€ I appreciate your encouraging feedback.
[avatar]
Thx Nadia yes me and my guitar have been separated too long by work demands. If you miss it enough check out Promasidor Personalities or Sarah's wedding song or Ode to Keith langton. These songs had deadlines so I forced myself to make time!. be Blessed and keep making beautiful Music
[avatar]
WOW what a Fantastic 5090 you have had. Your music is such an inspiration to me. Thanks for your input and for being part of my FAWMily
[avatar]
Thanks for your comment on "Take on the Night" -- maybe I'll have a demo by February FAWM. ;)
[avatar]
Thank you for your comment on "To Get Past You!"
[avatar]
Thank you for the great prompt and the nice feedback on my skirmish song. I'd been feeling a little writer's block lately and appreciate the spark.
[avatar]
Thank you so much for the encouragement on "The Storm of You" and "That Thing We Do."
[avatar]
Keyboard: Roland. The others synths I have are like having a sound mixing board of endless colors but the Roland Fantom x-6 has the sample sounds, classic Roland synths, orchestra, pianos, EPs, choir sounds, drums, and can sample anything I plug into it including my voice.
[avatar]
Glad you liked "Harvest Time Again", Nadia. Cindy has given me a couple of lyrics to have fun with, so I'm thankful for that. Lyrics are slow for me to write, but music is much easier. That's why most of my FAWM numbers are co-writes.
[avatar]
I'm working on Casablanca... But I can't record at the moment because there is building work going on in the building and the noise makes recording a decent clean take impossible.
[avatar]
Thank you for the nice comments on a song I wasn't so sure about. But, after all I plan to do more work on some of this stuff.
[avatar]
Nadia, I'm so glad you enjoyed @philmcmill's and my song, Madelaine. I just loved Phil's music and was so pleased when he agreed to make this into a collab with vocals. He really is a genius at all things musical, and I was very happy with the result of our collab.
[avatar]
Hi Nadia, I appreciate how expressive you are. In song and in loss. :)
[avatar]
I’m glad you enjoyed my technology song. It is growing on me. :)
[avatar]
Hi Nadia,

I sent you an email, but you may not have received it. Did you?
I am now ready to do a demo of our Casablanca song, but I need a clean recording. The one here that I have been working with, seems to have been recorded at a low volume and if I put it up to a volume where I can record vocals over it, then it starts distorting.

Please send me a decent copy via Send Big File or similar at the email address you'll find on my profile page.

Thanks,

Berni
[avatar]
I wondered about that, i click on that as well! But to my eye most people still link it in the skirmish! I think maybe somewhere in the skirmish it should explain it because if people are doing it 2 different ways it may mean some peoples songs get missed which would be a shame! As i said personally i still do both!
[avatar]
Thank you, Nadia! I'm happy you enjoyed "Petals". We're not completely done yet, I will rerecord the acoustic guitar, when I'm able to. But for now, I'm done with 50/90, recording and songwriting. I need a break and a new interface.
[avatar]
Hey Nadia, remember when I wrote "Gloomy"? I had too many options to continue, but fate decided to rage out, so it became a heavy song called "Petals".
[avatar]
Thanks from me also, Nadia, for your encouraging comments about Words, Words, Words.
[avatar]
šŸ˜Šā£ļø
[avatar]
Thank you for all your wonderful and positive comments. I always appreciate the comments that you leave on my posts. You are so kind :)

You are killing this 50/90. Congratulations!
[avatar]
Thank you so much for your comment on "Let It Play!"
[avatar]
Hi Nadia,

for the moment I am playing it a few times to
a) get the structure in my head
b) see if I have aenough ideas for the lyrics.

If the answer to b) is YES. I will ask you for an MP3 to record the lyrics to (or can I simply download it from FAWM here?)

Cheers,

Berni
[avatar]
Thanks for your question on "The Day That You Dropped Me" about the count. I hadn’t really realized it could be a waltz. It just might turn out to be in 3/4!
[avatar]
Thanks for your recent comment on "Not Just For Tea" — I fleshed out the draft but no demo yet.
[avatar]
I was too busy to respond to comments for several days and now a lot of them have dropped off my feed, but I know you’ve checked out several of my songs recently and I thank you!
[avatar]
Thanks for the feedback on "Space Song" and the "loop" challenge.
[avatar]
Thanks for listening and commenting on "Ambient Jazz".
[avatar]
Thank you for taking a peek at "One-hundred Blinks"!
[avatar]
Nadia, So glad you got a kick out of The Trouble with Women, @Berni1954’s and my collab. I’m glad he was game for a farcical song. It’s fun for me to listen to it, too. šŸ˜€
[avatar]
I'm so glad you like "When I Dream". You always say such nice things. Feels like I have a personal cheerleader!
[avatar]
Thanks, Nadia! AI would suggest something like:
"Oh, my muse, you're the fire in my soul,
In your presence, inspiration takes its toll.
With every word, every touch, every glance,
You're the source of my art, my eternal romance"
That's because it's more interested in end rhymes than making sense. And it's very formulaic, it has to squeeze words into a template. Doesn't do it for me, though I see a lot of people use it - my AI detector goes berserk sometimes!
[avatar]
Thanks for taking the time to listen to "Love Unbound", Nadia. It's been a bit lonesome over there, so I'm especially glad you dropped by.
[avatar]
Thanks Nadia; @gordon did a version of Dolphins, and it's on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@johnschofield2968
[avatar]
thank you I think I fixed the victory- I was speed recordiong before my house people come home and before I forgot the flow I was in
[avatar]
Thank you Nadia for commenting on I knew Better Then. I'm glad you liked it! 😊
[avatar]
Nice to see your comment on "Summer's Wasted on Me". We had fun cobbling that together across the distance and time zones.
[avatar]
Thanks for visiting/listening/commenting on "Distant Shore" Nadia. Always glad when you drop by.
[avatar]
Glad you liked my "Talk with God" song. I have liked every one of your pieces I have listened to.
[avatar]
Hi Nadia. Thanks for all your kind comments about "On the Water". I was lucky to find inspiring lyrics to work with.
[avatar]
Thanks for exploring "Good in Bed". As you can tell, I was just having fun.
[avatar]
I'm glad you like the result of our mutual creation, "Let's Step Back in Time". Your music encouraged me to participate. I'm honoured that you've uploaded it to your Bandcamp site.
[avatar]
I unfriended the "old" FB account and just sent you a friend request on the new one you listed above. I'm just getting back to 50/90 after being wrapped up in life.
[avatar]
Yes, did you get my reply? Love the music!
[avatar]
Yes, that one will work.
[avatar]
Hi Nadia, On your profile page, where I am now, there is no envelope icon, just links to your various sites. And I have received no emails from anyone here, my spam folder's empty. Someone else complained of the same problem and contacted me successfully via my youtube account. I'll have to consult the site admins, there seems to be an error. Sorry.
[avatar]
Nadia, your comments on @trebled's and my collab, Granite and Glass, just made my whole day! I had to smile when you said you clicked on it again when it stopped playing, because that's exactly how I feel about what Del did with these lyrics. I listen, and then I immediately want to hear it again. I don't know how musicians do that, but it is great when they do! Thanks for your generous enthusiasm.
[avatar]
Hi Nadia, I didn’t get a message but I don’t think it’s working on the site. My email is jsalty@btinternet. com
[avatar]
Thanks for your kind remarks, Nadia. Feel free to use the lyrics if you wish.
[avatar]
You're welcome! I never tried to rhyme oranges. But I expect it to be hard and painful xD Why don't you make some juice out of it?
[avatar]
Thanks so much for your encouraging comments on "Even So," "Say You'll Come Home," "You Changed My Mind," and "Secondhand." I appreciate all that time!
[avatar]
You’re welcome!
[avatar]
Hahaha! My mistake. I see what happened. In my review I typed, ā€œI was disappointed.ā€ I meant to type, ā€œI wasn’t disappointed.ā€ Sorry about that, Nadia. I guess I was typing too fast and my thinking couldn’t keep up with my fingers. šŸ˜€
[avatar]
Congratulations on getting past 50, Nadia. And I didn’t find your liner notes disappointing at all. It is very much what you wanted to convey and that’s what’s most important. Thank you for your patience, too. I really appreciate it.
[avatar]
Thanks Nadia! Some come faster than others so we'll see what happens!
[avatar]
Not necessary, Nadia, just post when ready!
[avatar]
Thanks for your kind words regarding ā€œI’m Gratefulā€. Yes, it could use some music if you’re so inclined.
[avatar]
Hi Nadia! Thanks for showing some love for "It's Only the Moon". Glad you could stop by for a visit.
[avatar]
Thanks for your comment on ā€œRound and Round,ā€ That was a fun one!
[avatar]
Hi Nadia, thanks for your comment. I’ll take a listen & will let you know as always when inspiration strikes!
[avatar]
Thanks for your comments on "I'm not Growing Up". Glad it got you dancing!
[avatar]
Thanks for commenting on "Set Sail"!
[avatar]
Thank you for your reactions on "All-Ages Honky-Tonk," "What You Didn’t Say," and "Subway Weather!" I greatly appreciate it.
[avatar]
Thanks so much for your comment on "Puddles of Cat."
[avatar]
Thanks Nadia for your suggestion re: "Lightning Bugs". I added the tag strangemusicday
[avatar]
Thanks for the listen and comment on my latest collab with Tammy, 'Set Sail!
[avatar]
For all that I'm hardly here (only to shoot spammers!) and hardly doing anything of my own, I'm glad to see you bounding on and getting more and more accomplished. And thank you for those listens too! (Now it's back to refitting bathrooms, sigh)
[avatar]
You are much too kind, Nadia. Thank you for those encouraging and very kind words about "Just Our Little Girl". There's a lot of personal reality dialed into that one, so it has a little bit of a special place in my heart and I'm thrilled that you liked it.
[avatar]
Thanks so much for you generous and sweet comments, Nadia, about "The Teddy Bear".
[avatar]
Glad you liked my Caged Bird song.
[avatar]
Thanks so much for your lovely comments on ā€œGranite And Glassā€, my collaboration with @greengrassgirl. And you’re so right - Patty writes amazing lyrics! Thanks again! :-)
[avatar]
Hi Nadja. I am open to collaboration on Music Only #4 and I trust you all to work on it on your own, that is if you like to. You have total freedom with the details of the lyrics and melody. I can send you the piano backing audio track that is transposed to a better key if a female singer needs that.

I wasn't sure if I made this clear in a hurry, and I apologize for that. If this doesn't work that's ok too.
[avatar]
Hello again, Nadia. Thanks for your response to "We Write Songs!" This past Friday, it was played as we began our feedback session. It'll seem funny to hear it every week if nobody else contributes a song. Actually, there was one other song, but a member posted lyrics and asked me to do the music for it.
[avatar]
Thank you! Have a great weekend!
[avatar]
Nadia, Your comments on Granite and Glass are beautifully lyrical in themselves. Thank you for the attention you paid to this. Yes, I definitely chose to approach Del on these lyrics because based on what he had posted, I had confidence he could capture the mood I envisioned. He exceeded my expectations. I love the harms and the way he made the lyrics come to life. Thank you for your attention and kindness.
[avatar]
Thank you for your nice comment on ā€œCan’t Stop Loving You.ā€ Yeah, the headphones are getting to me but if the cat hears the music, he will want to sing along - lol!
[avatar]
Hi Nadja. Thanks for the suggestion. My summer vacation ends soon so I'm sorry I don't have time to be very active with collaborations. That's why I prefer that lyricists contact me.

The vocals and piano in Music Only #4 are on separate tracks. ( EDIT: The melody that is played by the piano is on a separate track from the piano accompaniment.) In fact, the piano is a midi track so it can be even transposed to fit for example female vocals. All these Music Only songs are open for any kind of collaboration but the idea is for me to get 50 songs done in the easiest and quickest way. I've never tried to do songs this way so this is very much an experiment and I'll learn by doing. Please feel free to ask anything and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
[avatar]
Thank you Nadia 😁
[avatar]
Thank you ā¤
[avatar]
As always, thanks for your kind words. Being honest with you I am not in the mood for composition and arrangement. I just played my guitar and figured that I play this pattern quite often. If a collab happens, I may turn it into a song. If not, then not. I won't go full band this time, cause I don't have the energy to recruit a band.
[avatar]
Also! Thanks for the encouragement on ā€œQuick Draw!ā€
[avatar]
Thanks so much for your kind comment on ā€œTomorrow’s Not Too Soon!ā€
[avatar]
Hi, Nadia. Thrilled to partner up with you for R3 Random Collab. How would you like to start?
[avatar]
Thank you Nadia, I'll email you 😊
[avatar]
I think I confused my joy at making some music with how it might feel to others. People have said my songs are bleaker and spookier than I meant them to be. I know different keys are supposed to have different characters but I don't understand enough to know which are which. I just like finding patterns. You are right, It is inspiring how subjective music can be.
[avatar]
Thanks for your feedback on Intergalactic Joyride. Sorry it gave you a worried feeling! The chord progressions are how I imagine space sounding. I'm autistic and sometimes have difficulty knowing how music makes other people feel.
[avatar]
:-)
[avatar]
Hi Nadia! You make me feel special each time you offer a comment on something I've been involved in. Thanks so much for your positive comments about "Shadows of the Wind".
[avatar]
You've been kind enough to comment on a couple of songs that I've been involved in, Nadia, and I appreciate that. I've listened to a number of your compositions. They're all very good. I'm just disappointed to tell you that I am no good at inventing stories to go with someone else's music. While I'd love to contribute to your compositions, I don't have the proper skillset to help out. I hope some of the other members of FAWM can do justice to your compositions.
[avatar]
Hi Nadia. Thanks very much for your lovely comments on "Sleep All Teddy Bears". I'm glad that the lyrics Liz created and the music that I supplied worked for you.
[avatar]
Hi Nadia, thank you for your lovely message on married to the blues, I'm glad you enjoyed it!😁
[avatar]
Nadia! Your comments are almost as good as your music! šŸ‘Thank you so much for your insights on Father Mike. So glad you appreciated what we were going for.
[avatar]
Hi! Thank you so much for your supportive comments on "I've Heard This Song Before." It was a fun one!
[avatar]
Hi Nadia, Thanks so much all your wonderful and thoughtful comments. I appreciate your support and encouragement during 50/90!
[avatar]
You're welcome! I like your collab projects. So interesting to hear how vocalists and lyricists interpret your pieces
[avatar]
Hi Nadia, thanks for your great feedback on Poem Out of Weather, I'm glad you liked it! 😁
[avatar]
Hi Nadia- Thanks so much for your comment on "Come on Lets Dance". I needed to do something in high gear to get me going! One song- half a song! in 30 days...sigh.
[avatar]
Hi Nadia. Thanks very much for listening and commenting on "When I Say Hey".
[avatar]
@igg1
Hi Nadia, Thanks for your kind comments on "Like A Sunrise"
[avatar]
Nadia can I get a copy of Our Journey On A Sailboat? Almost ready to mix words.
[avatar]
Hi, Nadia, I'm glad you enjoyed @gwynjones' and my collab on My Heart On A Racetrack. I always enjoy writing lyrics, but the actualization of them into a song remains a mystery to me. I was so pleased--and impressed--when Gwyn came back with this bluegrass treatment so quickly. I think it fits exactly what I had in mind, but I didn't know it! That's the talent of the musician, as you well know, since you cast the same magical spell every time to sit down at the keyboard. Thanks for commenting!
[avatar]
Actually….yes. Send that Kiss file my way.
[avatar]
The Jelly Factory is known for its wonders, my dear….stay tuned! šŸ˜€
[avatar]
Are you using a DAW to record? Also, would you be opposed to one of your compositions ā€œchoppedā€ and used as a sample?
[avatar]
Hi Nadia, I emailed lyrics for Frosty Roses. Please let me know what you think. Thanks, Andrea
[avatar]
Nadia, How nice of you to listen and comment on Leaning In To The Light. I love the way you described the atmosphere as "dreamy and magnificent." Quite a compliment coming from you, who invented the genre!
[avatar]
Thanks for your generous comment on "What I Was Trying to Say."
[avatar]
Thanks for stopping by "Two To Tango" and leaving a comment!
[avatar]
Thanks Nadia!
[avatar]
i can send you the lyric and if you like it, i will work on fitting it to the music you can find a female singer to sing it, and she can adjust the melody to suit her style or fix it to the way she hears it.
[avatar]
thank you for your comments on lonely without you. i am working on a climate change lyric that might work with your song when it is too hot,
[avatar]
Thank you for your comment on Good Grief No Pronouns? Glad you liked it.
[avatar]
Thanks so much for listening to "Sweeter on the Other Side" and leaving kind words!
[avatar]
Excited to hear more of your stuff!!
[avatar]
@hev
Hey! Thankyou for listening and commenting on Tango, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Looking forward to getting to listen to your tracks
[avatar]
Thank you! My brain is all foggy, I'm taking another day off my DAW and hope that I can continue on mastering this weekend. Have a wonderful weekend šŸ¤—
[avatar]
Thanks for your comments on Come With Me. You are so kind. I've been a little out of sorts for a while, but I have in my plans for 50/90 to complete lyrics for at least one of the FAWM pieces you shared with me. I hope that is still ok with you <3
[avatar]
@aneil
Hi Nadia, thanks for the comment. Looking forward to interacting again this 5090 thx Neil
[avatar]
Thanks Nadia. I'll be in touch!
[avatar]
Thank you so much for your comment on 'Thought'. I'm super glad you enjoyed it.
[avatar]
Hi Nadia, happy 50/90 to you!
[avatar]
Thank you for checking out Dying of the Art! Glad you liked it!
[avatar]
A video game I played in my childhood. I guess it's been the harmonies. But your song is definitely not the same!

[avatar]
Nadia, I'm chuckling at your comments on Doctor, I Feel Cold! So glad you liked it. I knew David would do something wild and he exceeded all my expectations. What fun!
[avatar]
Thank you for the thoughtful comment on the Doctor song :)
[avatar]
Thank you Nadia! :-)
[avatar]
Hi, Nadia. I liked your description of Bitten By The Beast: darkness, mystery and uncertainty. Exactly what I had in mind! Glad you liked it!
[avatar]
Thanks so much for your positive feedback, more is certainly coming šŸ˜€
[avatar]
Thank you for the (far too) kind words, Nadia!
[avatar]
Thank you, Nadia!
[avatar]
Exactly! 😊
[avatar]
Hi Nadia. Because you'll be doing an instrumental for the 'Making the Mundane Marvellous' challenge, the idea is that you should look around to see if any particular ordinary object might inspire some kind of strong emotions or thoughts for you. And yes, you would then express those feeling in the music you compose. Does that make sense? Let me know. 😊
[avatar]
Wie gehts?
[avatar]
Hope you have a great 5090!
[avatar]
Hi Nadia, Looking forward to more of your beautiful and inspiring music.
[avatar]
Hello Nadia, it's lovely to hear from you. I hope you're doing ok. Wishing you all the best.
[avatar]
Happy 50/90, Nadia!

Thank you! And I'm equally looking forward to your wonderful, immersive piano songs!

Howdy Nadia,
Here we go again! Good to see you here. Let's write us some great tunes.

Hey Nadia! Thanks for the kind message. Definitely looking forward to your lovely piano this summer and hope we can collab again!
[avatar]
Hi Nadia, thanks for the message...have a great 50/90 yourself!
[avatar]
@cts
Hello there, dear friend. I hope all is well on your side of the world. I may not have a lot of time this summer to participate as far as creating music, goes, but I will definitely give time to listening/commenting. Here's to a creative 50/90!
[avatar]
Here there! Happy 50/90!
[avatar]
Hi Nadia, thanks for the welcome message. Let's get this party started :)
[avatar]
Hi Nadia! So good to see you! Happy 50/90!
[avatar]
Hi Nadia! I'll turn the prayer wheel for me and listen out for you!
[avatar]
I'm finally getting a chance to sit and listen to your song and I love it. The persistent pulse of the piano, the lyrical quality of the melody (I swear I can hear the piano singing "any piece of cheese" right around the 1:00 mark) and the end is so sweet! Definitely was imagining a person in a restaurant, sitting silently, admiring a wedge of cheese on a very ornate plate. Thank you for sharing!
[avatar]
Looking forward to more of your beautiful music. I’d love to do lyrics for something of yours.
[avatar]
Hi Nadia - same to you. Happy musicking!
[avatar]
Hi Nadia, happy 50/90!

Lovely to 'see' you as always, Nadia. 😊

[avatar]
Thank you, Nadia! Likewise, have a wonderful 5090 full of creativity and fabulous piano :)
[avatar]
Happy 50/90 to you too, Nadia! Hope these next few months bring you lots of creativity and inspiration.
[avatar]
Thank you. Many people try to convince me but I have to resist. My priority is lowering my workload by getting stuff done. I even considered not logging in until I reminded that the info on my profile can be somewhat misleading. I'm saying no since March.
[avatar]
Hi Nadia. 😊
So glad to see you here again. šŸŽµšŸŽ¶
[avatar]
Hiya Nadia! Can't wait to hear some of your beautiful music!!
[avatar]
Hi Nadia :) I hope to write some lyrics to your awesome music! FAWM is in my back pocket, but not forgotten. I can't wait to hear all you produce 3>
[avatar]
Have a great 50/90 Nadia! Thanks for the warm greetings!
[avatar]
Hey Nadia! Happy 50/90!
[avatar]

Hi Nadia! Have a great 50/90!
[avatar]
Hi Nadia. Looking forward to your lovely and inspiring music.
[avatar]
Thanks for your warm welcome Nadia! I won't write new songs this Summer. There is still too much on my plate. Full focus on finishing my album. Good luck on your 50/90 and lots of inspiration !
[avatar]
I hope your summer is full of inspiration, Nadia! Have a beautiful songwriting season.
