A LITTLE BEER ON HER BREATH

She walked in the room,
with a smile so bright,
A LITTLE BEER ON HER BREATH,
on a starry night.
She danced through the crowd,
like a butterfly,
Leaving a trail of laughter,
as she fluttered by.

Her laughter was music,
ringing through the air,
A melody so sweet,
it would lift away your cares.
She moved to the rhythm,
with a grace so free,
A LITTLE BEER ON HER BREATH,
as she looked at me.

CHORUS:
A LITTLE BEER ON HER BREATH,
but she's more than alright,
Bringing joy to our hearts,
like a firefly's light.
A LITTLE BEER ON HER BREATH,
she's a lovely sight,
Oh, how I want to be
holding her tight.

The night wore on,
as we talked and laughed,
A connection so deep,
it could not be surpassed.
She whispered her secrets,
and I whispered mine,
A LITTLE BEER ON HER BREATH,
as our hearts intertwined.

In this sea of faces,
she's the one that shines,
A beacon of hope,
in these uncertain times.
We all search for solace,
in this crazy world,
A LITTLE BEER ON HER BREATH,
and now she's my girl.

CHORUS:
A LITTLE BEER ON HER BREATH,
but she's more than alright,
Bringing joy to our hearts,
like a firefly's light.
A LITTLE BEER ON HER BREATH,
she's a lovely sight,
Oh, how I want to be
holding her tight.

I missed this one somehow! Another cool title! Oooo it’s happy! Good grief! Very strong chorus !

What a great line - we've all been there. Some of us are still there.... This is in your face country - much like, I imagine the protagonist. Who needs second-hand smoke when hand-me-down hops are on the menu!

I saw this title and thought it was a bit different for you, but low and behold, it's a sweet, delightful song. Your music and vocals make her sound like a perfectly lovely buzzing little bee :)

A little beer on her breath could be a walk away for me, but the way you put this out there...it makes a for a nice "come hither". The arrangement is perfect for this gem of a country song. I love how this sounds in my Mackies.

Lol That title should really pull em in. She's probably got a little beer buzz in there too. Terrific writing, and of course you always produce a good sounding, enjoyable tune, vocals and all.

I’m not sure it’s your most poetic title, but somehow you make it sound sweet! Love the description in the first verse. And great instrumentation choices throughout.

i enjoyed the song, but i wish my dad would have warned me to stay away from girls like this.

One more and you are the winner. But you are always the winner with your songs. A new great song, Jerry, even though I don't drink beer, I enjoyed listening. Loving the country feel. Beautiful singing, playing and choice of instruments. Original song and title. Works a treat.

I like the way the title phrase knocks the song slightly out of true with expectations of lyrics in a boy meets girl song. The singing and playing deliver the lyrics with the style I've come to expect from listening to a number of your songs this 5090.

The lovely fourth interval in the first and third line of the verses was a great melodic choice and adds a beautiful little lift. The fifth interval in the "beer on" made my ears really happy and was the perfect way to open the chorus. Such a pretty and memorable melody in this song. The slide guitar (I think) also adds a nice touch.
