While all of my songs about Beards, Bigfoot and Competitive Eating are of course profoundly true on a deeply metaphysical, spiritual and moral level, this song is actually literally #true, as proven by this photographic evidence from the late night / early morning of July 5 & 6, 2024.

Live electric tenor ukulele (through an amp sim, obviously), programmed drums, keyboard bass, about 1 hour. As always when I affect this voice, my throat is now absolutely shredded.

Yes! Yes! YESSSSSS!!!! Them little frogs drive me absolutely bananas at night. It’m not sure I’ve heard you tackle the punk genre before. Pretty tight and clean. Frog foley is perfect for this. And your frustration and irritation seeps through with lots of extra! Aces!

When the tree frogs get going in the Spring right outside my bedroom window it get to be a bit much sometimes.

This reminds me of how I apparently "hallucinated" a mouse 3 nights ago while I watched tv. MOUSES DO NOT HAPPEN TO ME!!! I mostly DO NOT keep food on the floor and all that. Set out a couple traps, 3 days have gone by...nothing. Let's see--where was I? Oh, yeah: GREAT SONG!!! ❤️

Hahahaha absolutely love the turn this takes in the chorus. Also love taking something as simple as seeing a frog on your window and turning it into a song. Good reminder that inspirado is everywhere.

I love the contrast between the raging punk music and the hilarity of the lyrics. And then there's that keyboard bass, the croaking solo and the solution to the problem (joining his punk band) ... brilliantly out there. I also like the awkwardness of the phrase "I’d like if you would shut up, alright?" It makes everything even funnier. A great way to start my morning!

Love the turnaround as I was listening not reading your lyrics, so it was a brill surprise 😆 - the actual croaks were a bonus. With us it is fox barks, which in turns sets off our dogs, then every one is barking and we're not sleeping. There's probably a song in there somewhere!

Haha, I love the sharp turn into the chorus, where you go from praising his window sitting skills to admonishing him for croaking. Glad you could get him to join the band. Seems like a reasonable compromise.
