My High Priestess
Skirmish: CLOSING (@corinnecurcio)Liner Notes

Another throwback, probably a late 1960s style. The ruthless efficiency of closing a business after it fails, in contrast to the need to have it all make sense.
Lyrics
Too late to save it
The bank said it was doomed
The last bids are in
Now we’re clearing the room
I’ve got the papers
The chair’s in the van
Four more hours
Carry out what we can
My high priestess
Something here to learn
No more questions
Candles burn
My high priestess
Something here to learn
No more questions
Candles burn
It was good while it lasted
I know that’s sad to say
Only way to get past it
Is by turning away
There is only forward
No turning back
Cut the last cord
Fade to black
My high priestess
Something here to learn
No more questions
Candles burn
My high priestess
Something here to learn
No more questions
Candles burn

Creative take on the prompt. Enjoyed listening.
I am saddened every time I see a shop closing in our town. That place represented someone's dream, they may have sunk their savings into the venture and now must feel defeated and broken. You express that all well here.
