Lyrics

All my life still in boxes
Piles in the trailer
All our remainders

Cuz everything was ours
And I took the little things
That fit in a car
To try to be my own human being

In my life
You were the fixed point
Piles of resentment
Stars growing distant

But everything was ours
Til I took the only thing
You held in your heart
This confused human being

How do I sort through all this stuff?
How do I separate the pain from love?
How do I find me in the mess?
Piles that I threw up in my defense?

Cuz everything was ours
But it was the little things
That pulled us apart
Not just the human beings

All my life still in boxes
Piles in the trailer
All our remainders

How do I sort through all this stuff?
How do I separate the pain from love?
How do I find me in the mess?
Piles that I threw up in my defense?

Cuz everything was ours
And I took the little things
That fit in a car
To try to be my own human being

I'm still not my own human being

Very affecting and emotionally raw...so much so that the listener is instantly and compellingly engaged...that is a talent most artists can only aspire to...you have it here...

great emotional lyric so well crafted its a really cool description of the situation. the delivery is like the question the lyric asks. very well done

Much emotion coming through on this one. The building of the song was nice as well as it grew and grew, reaching the peak at "piles that I threw up in my defense". The whole analogy of the boxes of stuff and the boxes in the relationship is good. Also really liked the line "but it was the little things That pulled us apart".

Very moving song, sang and played with true emotion, beautifully and with pouring your heart and soul. I love the gentle start and the power in the chorus contrasting it. Amazing listen and take on the prompt.
