Sadness's Mood

Liner Notes

Thank you @dr_griff for your challenge to "Write a song from an emotion's perspective - but! treat the emotion like it's a person. Instead of a grieving person, make the song from Grief's perspective, for example."

Please see the thread here: https://fiftyninety.fawm.org/forums/2626

I had a discussion with AI who suggested around 30 different titles. I've settled on the one I called my piece. Thank you, AI.

Thank you to everyone who is listening and sharing thoughts with me.

Hi Nadia! As soon as I heard this, an idea came to mind for lyrics. I can expand on it if you're looking for some?

Again, this just makes me think you've taken a "leap" from past years--your music is even better. (I'd like to think I've done the same--heck, that we've all done the same. You can't do 50 songs in 90 days and not learn something!) Great tune, Nadia! ❤️

That's a great idea to write from the perspective of an emotion. Very nice composition!

Yes, there is tension here for sure. The sadness is present and yet this piece doesn't fully emote sadness. There's this sophistication. Almost defiant, but yet compliments. So yeah, Nadia...this is indeed a compelling listen.

Love the build and then that nice dissonance in the beginning. I'm feeling a little bit of lightness coming in the high register... then contemplation... feels like there are some quick steps then hesitating soaked with emotion! Wonderful playing and production! I love it!

Lovely and very evocative! My favorite bit was around halfway, a bit past, you played several measures (4-6-8?) with a motif of three notes (low, high, high). Excellent!!!

"Elegance" comes to my mind equal with the sadness; a refined ballroom, suffused with an undercurrent of regret, as the participants at the ball try to keep their heads high, keep on going. There's so much emotion here, even as the continue their sorrowful dance. Lovely.

Oh, this is lovely, majestic, and sad. It pulls at all the right emotional places for me. Beautifully done.
