Challenge: Response Song

Liner Notes

For the Response Song challenge, a lyric that picks up from the Robert Lamm song “Questions 67 And 68.” Like the original, this is asking questions as a way of expressing wonder.

I don’t think the “strawberry paradox” is a thing, but it sounds like it could be.

Lyrics

Where is the place that we first met
Is it a place we can’t remember or forget
Is it like the strawberry paradox
When strawberries come out of our thoughts

I’m not trying to be a philosopher
But I wonder how these things are possible
It doesn’t quite make sense
To put them down to happy accidents
How is it that we exist
Just a question on a list
Not a question for you
Question 72

When was the moment that we aligned
Did it happen in the field or was it in our minds
And from that moment tracing back
What was it that put us on that track

I’m not trying to be a philosopher
But I wonder how these things are possible
It doesn’t quite make sense
To put them down to happy accidents
How is it that we exist
Just a question on a list
Not a question for you
Question 72

How could a circle you hold around me
Be
A circle I hold around you
Question 72

There is a Banana-Strawberry Paradox. https://asherlongevity.com/diet-nutrition/the-berry-paradox-decoding-the-curious-case-of-bananas-and-strawberries

Thankfully, you did not dwell on botanical paradoxes, but moved on to existential ones.

The answer to Question 72, the circle part, is quite easy. Some circles are bigger, and have room for multiple people. How many? No idea. That's Question 73, I guess.
