I read the Holy Bible and I read it every day
I know that it’s reliable and I try to watch and pray
But there was nowhere I could go to look upon His face
Because all my salvation is just founded on his grace
So please don’t ask me where I went I only wish I knew
Because I’d give directions so that you could go there too
The cost of my salvation is a sum I can’t afford
Where did I go to find the Lord?

This is what religion should be - a personal relationship with an individual's spirituality. It is when it becomes dogma and people are willing to kill and die for it that I would draw the line. Individual spirituality has probably saved millions of lives by giving purpose to them. Organised religion is just a scam to keep people tribal and enable them to fight the ruling power's wars.
