Like the 'lazy' pace - reminiscent of The Doors or Jefferson Airplane. I've stopped counting birthdays so every day can have cake and ice cream now.

It was my birthday a couple of weeks ago, so it was interesting to get a perspective on someone else's recent experience. I can offer you one ray of sunshine: now that I've more or less stopped working, the birthday experience has gotten better and I don't find myself thinking I'm wasting my time so much. The temptation to "sleep until it hurts" is still there, though (I love that line!)

But no time that involves cake and ice cream is ever wasted, IMO.
