Yes, this is me on guitar, so don't be too harsh, I just picked it back up on this 50/90 challenge.

Lyrics

Verse 1
I walked a thousand miles, chasing after light
In the shadows of the night, I lost my way, lost my fight
The echoes of those dreams, they linger in my mind
Faded pictures, broken frames, of the life I left behind

Chorus
Lost dreams, where did you go?
In the wind, in the rain, I feel you flow
Through the cracks of time, where hope once gleamed
Now you're just a whisper, in the heart of lost dreams

Verse 2
We danced to melodies that time forgot to play
In the silence of our youth, we thought we'd find our way
But the years rolled on, like waves upon the shore
And the dreams we held so tight, they don't sing anymore

Chorus
Lost dreams, where did you go?
In the wind, in the rain, I feel you flow
Through the cracks of time, where hope once gleamed
Now you're just a whisper, in the heart of lost dreams

Verse 3
There was a time, I held you close, believed in all we'd be
But life had other plans, and we drifted like the sea
Still, in the quiet of the night, your voice calls out to me
A song of dreams we lost, but never truly set free

Chorus
Lost dreams, where did you go?
In the wind, in the rain, I feel you flow
Through the cracks of time, where hope once gleamed
Now you're just a whisper, in the heart of lost dreams

Bridge
And though the years have passed, and we’ve gone our separate ways
The dreams we shared, they haunt me still, in the echoes of our days
I find a bittersweet comfort, in the love we left behind
For in the memory of those dreams, there’s a truth that I can find
But in the quiet of the night, I still hear your song
A tune of what could've been, but somehow went wrong
Yet in every broken note, there's a beauty that remains
In the memories of the lost dreams, that still run through my veins

Chorus
Lost dreams, where did you go?
In the wind, in the rain, I feel you flow
Through the cracks of time, where hope once gleamed
Now you're just a whisper, in the heart of lost dreams

Outro
So I’ll keep you close, like a faded photograph
A reminder of the dreams we had, and the love that couldn’t last
For in the echoes of the past, I find a piece of me
In the tender, bittersweet melody, of those lost dreams

Hi, Carl. This is so lovely. Your voice is so tonally rich--are you sure you need so much autotune? I can't help thinking this might even be better without it. A tiny bit of pitchiness never hurt anybody and sometimes even might serve to emphasize the emotional investment of the vocalist. And your fingerstyle guitar sounds flawless to me, so kudos for getting back into the groove on that.

I enjoyed listening to this - your voice and the soft guitar create a soothing, wistful experience. I like the metaphor comparing your lost love to songs that were lost or forgotten.

I like this vocal--you have so many! And I appreciated the imagery in: "And the dreams we held so tight, they don't sing anymore."

Good listen here. The chorus is wonderful. Guitar sounds fine to me and the vocal is rich. Excellent work.

This is heartbreaking, even though the character finds a glimmer of peace in remembering and holding on to the dreams. The guitar is so pretty. Sounds good to me, as well as your lovely vocals. Beautiful song!

This song is really enjoyable, Carl. I think the theme is relatable and the melody fits the sentiment perfectly. Your guitar playing is better than anything I do, so kudos to you.
