Challenge: Tempo Change

Liner Notes

Okay, let's be honest, my music is never strict in its tempo, so feel like kind of cheating here. Yet, I thought I did have my excuse: I often feel that the time can be perceived as too fast/too slow... When I was a child time often felt soooooooooo slow... Now it feels so fast. Yet, when I want to make a cup of tea, it sometimes takes forever. What to say? Anyhow, here is my acoustic piano. Thank you for listening and for sharing your thoughts. Please let me know if you are happy to collaborate on a new version.

Great work again. Nadia. This just flows and creates it's own space -beautiful. After reading the notes, I found the piece spoke to me about the profundity of time -it is so relative. If I have a boring task, it can still move slowly, but anytime I'm creating in my studio, time speeds up to 'it can't be that late already' speed!

Beautiful. I'm hearing this with vintage strings, the crackling muted sound of early Hollywood classics. Audrey Hepburn in a kiss scene. Fighting and forgiving in front of an Italian bay. The man in the tuxedo sweeping the surprised cat burglar into his arms.

Tempo seems to dominate recording these days. It's convenient but music without strict tempo is very refreshing these days. Life changes tempo and so does this piece .

@cindyrella I don't normally reply to the comment on my song page but I'm puzzled that this piece reminds you of Victorian times. I would imagine it during perhaps 40s/50s/60s but 19th century, I think it's stretching it. Anyway, of course everyone has their own perception especially when they take the time to listen to the whole piece. I'm glad you like it :)

This reminds me somehow of Victorian times and flowing dresses. It's timeless yet too. I love it!
