I went for a simple #waltz with this one, but the first two measures beat me up a bit with their brief time signature change.

All refrains; no chorus, as per the #refrain #challenge - and I also kept it to two chords (and variations) for the #2chord challenge.

Lyrics

Seasons
Jemma Kline

See the pretty fawns a-sunning,
Painted spots so white and pure.
Hear a sound and then they’re running, running,
As the seasons slowly turn.

Spy the clever ravens preening,
High atop a thirsty fir.
Hear the lonely insects singing, singing,
As the seasons slowly turn.

Find the last tomato growing,
Leave it to the busy worm.
Feel the chilly winds a blowing, blowing,
As the seasons slowly turn.

See the Christmas tree a-glowing;
All the carols we will learn.
Soon the barley we’ll be sowing, sowing,
As the seasons slowly turn.

(Flute bridge)

See the pretty fawns a-sunning,
Painted spots so white and pure.
Hear a sound and then they’re running, running,
As the seasons slowly turn,

I love that you've done several challenges in one here, and stayed with a simple two-chord progression. Well done here!

Gorgeous tempo changes. ( I know that was hard.). So seasonal too, which I admire, even this time of year. I like this match of flute and piano.

It's so refreshing to hear something in 3/4, and I especially loved the way you throw in a feel of compound time with the moving accent in the piano line. The song has an endearing quality and the flute was the perfect instrument for the bridge. This is great!
