Be an Olympic Swimmer

@unknownbecky suggested "Sports" as a prompt for this week's Song Circle. I missed the meeting to go to a parking lot picnic with my daughter, but I did write a song. This one is a reminder to myself to go ahead and embrace connection and imperfection.
Lyrics
Be an Olympic Swimmer
I could be an olympic swimmer
I could coach basketball
I could set a couple world records
I could try to break 'em all
But I sit on my couch
And I scroll on my phone
I sit by myself
I feel so alone
I could write a mystery novel
I could write a country song
I could make people listen
I could make 'em all sing along
If I didn't sit on my couch
If I didn't scroll on my phone
But I sit by myself
I feel so alone
I could ask a friend to dinner
I could give a friend a shout
I could reach out to someone
I could think about going out
When I sit on my couch
And I scroll on my phone
When I sit by myself
Cause I feel so alone
I could be an olympic swimmer

Missed you at the song circle but a parking lot picnic with your daughter sounds lovely! Glad I got to hear the song from the prompt. Good job.
