Wrote a little slice of life for today's contribution. It's been tough in our household ever since my partner got laid off at the beginning of April. I'm a disabled full-time creative, and I work as hard as I can to at least have my own bills covered, but we've had several disappointing instances where either job interviews were a dead end, or where events I played at weren't very lucrative.

Despite all this, and the perpetually looming financial anxiety, I am very happy with the life we have. :)

Awww. This is sweet and real, and I love the idea that "shooting stars can fall for somebody else." You're doing the absolute best with what you have, and that's enough. It's a pretty, smooth rhythm, with a wistful feel to it. Very fitting.

the perfect song to open the new depression songbook.....which will be filled with uplifting songs for people who have fallen onto hard times. the song succeeds like a capra film,,,,,it would be sentimental were there not so much truth in it.
