Liner Notes
So...who amongst us hasn't "lost their mind" lately?
Dedicated to all of my fellow crazies around here--isn't that what makes us great? ❤️

AND YOU NEARLY LOSE YOUR MIND

It was a cold night in June,
the kind that chills your bones,
You packed up your love,
left me empty and alone.
The bed's too big,
and the nights are too long,
Your shadow's on the wall,
but now you're gone.
I hit the town,
a laugh painted on my face,
Hiding the fact,
I'm lost in my own empty space.
The whiskey whispers lies
that I am fine,
As I dance with the memories
and nearly lose my mind.
CHORUS:
AND YOU NEARLY LOSE YOUR MIND,
When love's a riddle wrapped in a rhyme.
You search for peace, but only find,
Your heart in pieces, left behind.
The mirror shows a stranger,
with eyes that know too much,
Longing for what once was,
I'm haunted by your touch.
I'm picking up the pieces
in the dead of night,
Trying to find the real me,
trying to end the fight.
But there's beauty in the breakdown,
so they say,
Learning to walk
when you'd rather fade away.
So here's to the nights
that turned into dawn,
To the love that's lost,
to the pain that's still not gone.
CHORUS:
AND YOU NEARLY LOSE YOUR MIND,
When love's a riddle wrapped in a rhyme.
You search for peace, but only find,
Your heart in pieces, left behind.

No matter how dark your lyrics, your voice still sounds so sweet. I like that contrast.
