The character treads the line between desperation and resignation in a state that most listeners will recognize. I like the contrast in mood between the chorus and verses, which says that things are not as decided as stated. A good song for a certain mood.

Interesting love song with both want and push away by the storyteller. Dug the torpid play and vocals--spot-on for getting this tale perfectly told in song!
