Stream of consciousness #indiefolk song put to a comforting chord pattern, just recorded on my phone and tossed in my DAW to add a little sparkle. If I produce this one i'll structure it more and make it shorter, maybe around 4 minutes.

That little DAW sparkle is tasty, nice reverb (without being too much) that adds a depth I like a lot. This is a great one take performance. I like a lot of the imagery, the bramble and blackberries, the blankets mother bought,, nicely written.

A song you can really get lost in. Beautifully done. Love the tumbling flow of the lyrics, with all those delicious internal rhymes. ‘Hope is lasting over the freezer’ really leapt out at me, awesome line! It’s kind of perfect indie folk: sad, elegiac but with just a glimmer of hope.
