For about two weeks now I've been working on this one in an off & on sort of way. Most of the work has been done on my lunch ½ hour at work, so this was certainly a song that came together in little chunks. This is the first time I've used IX's amazing Magic Peer Control machine closer to its usual usage by other Buzzers (users of Jeskola Buzz). Usually, I use it as a preset processor (sorry, that's the best description I can give my usual M.O. with Magic). But this time, it is the ultimate trigger for all of the sounds you hear on this track. What I have done is chained a number of virtual instruments (mostly native Buzz Machines) whose individual outputs then trigger the next Generator Machine (instrument) in the chain. This allowed me to sit back & let Buzz create its own sounds in a quasi-generative way. The result is quite interesting, IMHO.

The name is obviously inspired by A Clockwork Orange. But, that might be the only connection to that classic piece of literature. I don't know, maybe some of you might see more in this than I do.

On to the next!

i saw a porno movie once called cock work blue. this purple clockwork is a much more rewarding use of time. it might not have anything to do with the book or movie, but it is a fascinating journey into the inner life of a clock.

I could hear this being used in the reprogramming scene from ACO. It has a bit of a mystical feel to it as well. Nice bit of strange ambience first thing in the morning.
