Thank you, #badsongclub, for the prompt "Evil Olive".
It's also 2 minutes if we don't count blank space, so it's good for the Short and Sweet #challenge.
I had *fun* with this one.

Lyrics

Heart of Stone
Jemma Kline

You smile wide,
Tell them you care.
You’ve got that voice,
And perfect hair.
You reel them in,
Then lay them low.
You may be soft,
But your heart is stone.

You have that touch,
So warm and sweet.
And in your eyes,
The softest gleam.
You hold their gaze,
Then deal the blow.
You may be soft,
But your heart is stone.

You’re such a
Sentimental,
Ornamental,
Oh so gentle,
Simple way to
Disassemble
Me.

You called me up,
And met me here,
Said we should talk;
You’ve got my ear.
I see that look,
The one I know.
You may be soft,
But your heart is stone.

This is nicely put together. The "You're such a..." part is my favorite.

I adore a piano/vocal ballad - often, I imagine them as performance pieces as I listen. And this is a wonderful, personal, vulnerable song - all that I love about a piano/vocal song is right here!

The lyrics are perfection. The piano is so gentle, and such a great contrast to the vocals, which convey pain and betrayal beautifully.

I love the soft/hard imagery in this!
