Limping

Liner Notes

I had a good time at a pub where I drank beers. The next day I felt bad. When I least expected it I threw up and then slowly starting feeling so much better.

I wasn't limping, I cycled my way home normally. But it sounded cool and fitted the 'no click track' feel and the drums of the song.

Lyrics

I was limping on my way home
I was limping on my way home

Now I am light as a feather
Now I am light as a feather
no longer under your weather

Sometimes you get sick of life
I threw it up, I threw it up

Don't believe a word I say until my word is true
Don't believe a word I say until my word is true
to you

It's funny how often a visit to the pub can result in feeling bad the next day, but like they say: correlation does not imply causation. But if "Sometimes you get sick of life / I threw it up, I threw it up" isn't a perfect commentary on the modern world, I don't know what is. Excellent stuff!

Intriguing lyrics! I hope they are metaphorical :-)

The drumbeat definitely captures the limping feeling. Nice vocals ... they kind of float over the guitar soundscape. I like the guitar-only break (actually, it's the end!). Might be good to come back in with drums, etc. and extend the song. Cool stuff!

sometimes this is the way music sounds to me when i am drunk,

Yeah, the slightly shambolic and off-kilter nature of this really fits with that hungover feel.
Wow, you've got another winner here.

I love those back guitars, i am going to get them like this one day! Have tried ever since "kiss me and kill me"! i might have one in a bit! Really cool love this track!

Getting some Kurt Cobain vibes from your voice here. Hoping you don’t hear that compliment too often. I love the no-click feel and the lyrics fit perfectly!

Wolf knows me well 😂 ... He's absolutely right! I love everything about this.

I'm not much of a drinker anymore, but boy have I had many limping walks on my way to nowhere. The vocal melody(s) in this are spectacular! and of course, loving the ripping guitar and slightly off-kilter drumming. It all makes for one very enjoyable experience.

Sometimes you get sick of life
I threw it up, I threw it up

That might be one of my favorite lines ever.

What a clever idea and what a sound experience! So creative and good!

Ha! drinking induced vomit as a metaphor for catharsis! What a brilliant idea and presented in perfect "no click track" form. ( Here's one I bet our @dzdandcunfsd will find right up his particular peculiar alley)
Well done again, my friend. Such a joy to hear and really happy making that you are finding "therapy" in music and already creating so much of it this Summer!
Hugs!
