I'm happy for (multiple) anyones to have a stab at adding music to this but note that I might try something with it too. But have at it... I'd be interested to hear how it plays with multiple versions.

Lyrics

Almost Forgotten by Wolf Kier c2022

V1:
Almost forgotten
the sweet love of youth
The dream of the lighthouse
The sailor's sad tune

peach wine and tortillas
gave love a flavor
We made time for food
But had no time to savor

CH:
Now almost forgotten the blueberry skies
of dusks by the ocean, of innocent lies
Now almost forgotten, the tastes of that time
Rekindled in heartaches
Replaced with goodbyes.

V2:
Almost forgotten
The harsh taste of truth
That tore us from Eden
That ate up our youth

The colors of Summer
That warmed our delight
The light of the lighthouse
That bid us goodnight.

BRIDGE:

And still the taste brings fleeting emotions
A paradise squandered by children who understood nothing
but learned every day that oceans are always, but life is just a day....

CH:
Now almost forgotten the blueberry skies
of dusks by the ocean, of innocent lies
Now almost forgotten, the tastes of that time
Rekindled in heartaches
Replaced with goodbyes.

Rekindled in heartaches
Replaced with goodbyes.

As the love song morphs to a reflection of perhaps an end, or a beginning. Well done on a first morph and thanks for playing!

@andrea

Sorry I forgot to comment earlier. This is so poetic and touching. A sad love song that tugs the heartstrings. There is a very easy flow throughout, and the chorus is fantastic. I can't wait to hear it with music.

Very beautiful lyrics. Looking forward to the musical arrangements with these wonderful lines.

Ooooohhhh… I really love how you morphed this … it became more poignant and bittersweet …. Love love love that chorus and how you took elements from previous lyric and positioned them differently! Brilliant!
