I've entered what I call the "R&D phase" of Fifty/Ninety, where I start taking deep dives into plugins or instruments that I've had kicking around for a while. This track has the title it has because I've been teaching myself how to use the Stochas sequencer
( https://stochas.org/ ) which lets you incorporate randomness into sequences in all sorts of very interesting and unusual ways. And because the results sounded epic (just listen to that final reverb tail!), I added Arturia's Augmented Voices for some female vocals; there's also a liberal helping of Spitfire Audio's new Epic Choir in the mix, too.

Epic sounding indeed. More fusion than Prog perhaps. Echoes of ISOTOPE at points. The vocal choir does bring it firmly into prog territory, though. A thoroughly enjoyable listen.

Wonderful (powerful space). Varied, deep, driving.

This is real prog. So well produced again, yes is in the epic genre for sure! Make sure you dont get your reverb tail burnt.

Yes totally get what you mean. I’m always watching my reverb tails to see what fits the music. Haven’t heard of Stocha. The vocals are very good in this. Holler if you ever want some female vocals to play with. The loop platforms I use have a lot more vocal stabs recently as I think they are building in popularity. Enjoyed my listen. Thanks also for the Spitfire recommend last year, it’s featured on a couple of my songs.
