Lyrics

Sitting on the bank as the water flows
Throw in my troubles and watch them go
Where they'll land, well, I just don't know
So far away from me

Staring at the clouds floating in the sky
I lean back and let out a sight
Gather up my troubles and watch them fly
So far away from me

Yeah, my mind goes blank
My mind is clear
I've got no troubles
As I'm sitting here
All my worries seem to disappear
So far away from me

I close my eyes, listen to the sound
I lean back and lay on the ground
Gonna send all the troubles that I have found
So far away from me

Yeah, my mind goes blank
My mind is clear
I've got no troubles
As I'm sitting here
All my worries seem to disappear
So far away from me

So far away from me

Wonderful guitar playing and styling. I really like the tempo and the upbeat vibe. Such a great song concept - and you really made it work lyrically. Really strong and memorable melodies too - and I especially liked how you treated the title line. This is the kind of song that makes you feel good after you hear it - like a breath of fresh air - both in the positive perspective and the enjoyable vibe. Great performance too - I really enjoyed it!

Really nice guitar work, I like the emphasis on the important words in your lyric. Staring at clouds can help solve many troubles. Nice listen.

Very nice, love the lift in the last line! Sounds like a song i should always have known very good indeed.

What a gorgeous song. Guitar sounds beautiful, really nice presence in the upper mids (a bit like I imagine new strings should sound if that makes sense). Classy melody and vocal performance. Lovely slice of stripped down Americana. Very much enjoyed the listen!

What a "complete" song. My first listen to your songs this session, TC (my apologies for being tardy getting here), and what a great song this is! Wonderful story. And I love the accompaniment you've created here. It works so well. It's got loads of movement and interest, but supports the lyric without intruding or distracting. Really nicely done. 😄
