@brisk

This is quite wonderful. So evocative, and very impressive as an improvisation. Basically people who can improvise this sort of thing are dark wizards to my ear.

@gm7

Very epic and lonely sounding. Well done on the home make G whistle.

Very beautiful, atmospheric instrumental. Impressive, sad, nostalgic and epic. Home made whistle is super impressive. Beautiful music, playing and demo.

Not only is this lovely but I'm totally impressed by the idea of a home-made PVC whistle. Is there no limit to your creativity?

@mikeb

As the music builds, I can imagine it as the opening soundtrack for a movie with the camera sweeping over wind-swept grassy plains and rolling hills. Very evocative.

this is morricone level flute arrangement. i can imagine a mountain native sitting on a cliff over a waterfall playing these melodies. and the backing synth adds a moodiness.

@phlex

Beautiful sounding instrument and melody! Some real folk flavour with the playing - tasteful and inventive. DIY for life! Agree with everyone's comment on how cinematic it sounds. Fantastic!

[avatar]

Beautiful, elegaic, haunting. The strong Celtic influence in the melody combined with the cinematic lushness of the strings is a real winner.

Very cleverly done , but i think this ikea make everything is going too your head :-). What will you make next! Whatever, this is very good, certainly cool soundtrack material

[avatar]

Hang on, you did this with a piece of electrical conduit?! You’re a crazy genius! I would have gone with Lord of the Rings, but @berni1954’s Outlander suggestion is prob better. Beautiful tune!

[avatar]

Oh this could be straight form the soundtrack of "Outlander" - I can see the wilds of Scotland and the defeated Jacobite rebels slogging across the marshes to escape from the Government troops' slaughter in my mind as I listen to this.

Great sound for a homemade whistle. Did you have a template for it?

Absolutely beautiful, Tim!
So good to hear that you managed to crawl from beneath the IKEA cabinets and treat us to this timeless sounding piece. 😄
