I have a new bass and bass amp. Figured the best way to get used to them was to get recording...

I found myself headbanging without realising. That's the sign of an excellent metal track. You got some excellent groove going on here, I believe the kids these days would say "this slaps".

Always the best way. Great clean drive, then the mighty riffing. Good stuff indeed!

Congratulations on the new addition to your household! This is ace! Rocking out on my sofa to this one (can't move too much because of the heat, so more headnodding than headbanging, but enjoyed this very much)

@phlex

Bass is rumbling? Check! Rhythm is chugging? Check! Solo is soaring? Check! We're on! Bass sounds great - love the dirty low end tone, but the upper register stuff is very nice to the ears! Lots of lovely lead bits to keep the momentum moving upwards. Heavenly mix - chockers, and very nearly brutal. Great start!

@brisk

Wow, this is a proper workout. The tone of the bass at the beginning with the harmonic stuff? going on is amazing. Really big, brash expansive stuff and love the soloing.

Very glad to hear new stuff from you, my lord. That's a splendidly percussive bass groove. And what an absolutely filthy tone! Oh yes. I like this. Lead guitar is razor sharp, too. That closing solo is the business.

Well. This bangs! Like proper. Head bang shit. I’m there man, I’m there. Lovely stuff going on here musically as well. Melody, chords, harmonies.

Welcome to the dark(er) side, Lord Sapient. We've been expecting you.
This is ace!
Now I'm hankering for a Dingwall!

@nadine

This bass is so filthy! Is it a 6 string? The bass solo breakdown is so great with these slides in the background. Oh I love your guitar shreds. So happy to hear more metal here 🤘
