I've been taking a break from the land of corpses over the last few challenges. Good to see some ideas and memes carrying forward without me, but i haven't seen this one and feel it needs resurrection.

The kaiju exquisite corpse is open to all who wish to participate, as long as they can do so in a timely manner. It starts now and runs until the end of 50/90, which means it will be unleashed upon the world on or around October 1st. It will be as long as we can get it, with as many participants as possible adding pieces over the course of the challenge. Depending on interest, you may be able to rejoin the queue after some number of participants have had a turn (tbd).

Typical corpse kind of rules:
1. write and record 1-2 minutes of music based upon the snippet you received
2. send to the next person in the queue: a 10-20 second snippet from the end of your piece
3. send to me: the full audio file, the snippet file, and any lyrics, notes or alignment samples. contact me: plaintoast (at) gmail (dot) com

when it is your turn, please don't dawdle; 1-3 days is the desired turn-around time for your piece
after 4 days with no communication, we will skip you and move on to the next person in the queue. communicate early and we can move you later in the queue as needs be.

@gardeningangel1, I'd guess @wolfkier next, then @dreamscuba, then @kahlo2013 given the order they've shouted in the thread. But @plainwhitetoast is in charge of admin on this one. 😉

@gardeningangel1 - what @dragondreams said is pretty much how i'm rolling on with things; first shout, first out. i will try to accommodate special time constraints, as long as it doesn't get too much to handle.

with that said, @wolfkier is next after the current bit completes.
then it depends on where we are in the week. if we are at the weekend, it will go to @dreamscuba, and then to @kahlo2013. if we are a day or more out from the weekend, those two will be reversed.

i'll keep an eye on things to make sure it all works out

@sammiall Hi, create a new song, but set it to private and leave everything but the title blank. if it is created, it can later be edited with links, etc. and set to public, even after the challenge ends.

i think i can add everyone as a collaborator on mine, so it may not be an issue. still, better safe than the alternative.

all of my online storage options for mp3 files of this size are maxed or otherwise constrained, so i made a simple video. if that's a problem, let me know and i'll see what i can do to make an mp3 available. for now, other priorities supersede.

i also haven't had a chance to add lyrics to the song page.

The parts all flow together really nicely. While I would like to have an mp3 (this would be great walking music) the video is really nice to see who's part is playing. Awesome stuff, everyone... I am yet again thrilled and a little awed to be part of such an amazing group 😀
