i know a couple on here do them but i wanna see some writing or literature on them, maybe some kind of site with the history of them

@mikeb

Please define what you mean by 'improvised musical novels'! Do you mean a fiction book about musicians who improvise?

I’ve seen them do the following =
An albums worth of songs, with an improvised musical piece supplemented by a quick short story that has some kind of narrative tale with each of the songs. Sometimes they’re not improvised.

"I've seen them'?? Please provide links/examples!

Two fawmers, one doesn’t improv AFAIF but has the story concept like a musical novel
Tagging for ease of links. No pressure to take part or explain yoselves lol

@mikeb

The GIMMEE things are just 'corpses' - short pieces of improv recorded by different people and stitched together.
The two fawmers you tagged just have instrumentals on their pages, so still don't know what you are looking for. Good luck!

Not improvised, to my knowledge, but fawmer @marklberry published a musical novel:

Thanks for tagging us @chldomn5 Musical novels is a great way to put it. Originally we started out wanting to maybe one day do an actual score for something but were like hey let’s just do it ourselves. One half of us (manoptic) writes scripts and then we both kinda work at adapting it to music. We started a new story which we’ll write for this FAWM, and DJKA has done two nautical themed albums with a captain’s journal in the same vein as the fawm stuff. (All on his Spotify and bandcamp and such. ) he’s got one more part of the story coming, a 4 track EP.
