srcoops

ZeCoop's and Guatecoop's dad. Occasionally provide lyric ideas for them. 86 yr old with no musical talent other than buying instruments and paying for lessons for my offspring. Retired. Have a great marriage of more than 64 years to my high school sweetheart.

I first started writing lyrics in 2011 when I heard ZeCoop was going to do this crazy challenge, and I just kept writing more. I officially started participating and posting lyrics to FAWM in 2018 and have enjoyed the collaborations with the musicians, as well as the supportive and friendly community here. Would like to look into collaborations (lyrics from me - music from you) with others.

You can hear collaborations from previous years on my Bandcamp page:

I put Morning Song to music - add me as a collab, please, and I'll post it!

As one geriatric to another, Cool Fool has appeal if you'd like a quickndirty 60second setting for your chicken dinner. But you have to accept a reprise of the last stanza replacing read/heard and head/bird!

@cts

I have a few tunes that Iā€™m finishing up on, but I will put Wine in the wheelhouse and offer up something. Stay tuned!

@nadine

Thanks for your offer! But I'm completely maxed out for the next months and won't join projects or write new songs. I have to sort my list and take unpopular decisions. You're a great lyricist, so when there's more space and time we could do something! šŸ˜Š

I would be happy to make a demo for Live.

[avatar]

No worries. Making music together is a dance, and I stepped on your toes. I trust the re-recording is to your satisfaction.

[avatar]

Oh no. I am so sorry. I stepped across the line from interpret and arrange to tweak, revise and rewrite. I will re-record verbatim what you wrote with the "common laborer refrain as a repeating chorus."

[avatar]

What sounds unfinished on Laborer? I can go back and tweak. Did I go a little heavy on the 78rpm record effect?

[avatar]

Thank you wordmaster. I've added my lyrics and mp3 to Labourer as comments on the song. It is always great to work with your words.

[avatar]

You are very kind, Mr Cooperider. :-)
Thank you for the listen and the great comment. I really appreciate it!

Hi - I did a guitar/banjo demo for Being Ahead - add me as a collaborator, and I'll post it.
