@nadine

Thanks a lot for stopping by and commenting! We will record "Waiting for a train" with real instruments in the next months, but I decided against singing. For some reason I don't like the heavy vibrato and I felt like straining in the heights. I won't consider myself a vocalist when I hear a these beautiful voices with much more control and timbre... I am not sure if I should continue that journey as my focus is composition, arrangement and production...

[avatar]

You can get that effect other ways also... 1. The "neck crank..." which always makes me nervous pulling on the neck... haha... 2. a trem bar on an electric.

Sometimes that behind the nut vibrato is easier to do on a dobro in lap position or open tuning in general.

[avatar]

Thanks!! Yes, the guitar is an acoustic baritone in half-nashville tuning so the middle strings that are high strung... the harmonic is on one of those strings and then I reach behind the nut to bend the strings for the vibrato. Works on on a regular guitar too if you want to try it. ;)

@brisk

Thanks for saying nice things about Falling in Love - much appreciated! On the one hand I feel like a bit of a fake using plug-ins to make rock, but on the other, it just wouldn't sound half as good if I had to play rhythm guitar because I'm very wobbly. Ah well!

[avatar]

Great!

@gm7

Thx for kind words on the LISTEN...especially your comment"That Tele is Telekinetic in your hands, I can visualize the light beams bending through the prism."...that's music to my ears thx again.

@miga

@atam94

Hey thanks so much for the kind words on "When We're Old"! I appreciate you taking the time to listen to it.

[avatar]

I agree with you that David did a fantastic job on Come Back! I was delighted with the way he took my lyrics and made a terrific song out of words on a piece of paper! Thanks for listening and commenting.

@mikeb

Thanks for the comment on 'Bang Or A Whimper'. I used the Surge virtual synth and Spitfire BBC orchestra for the strings.

@toms

Thank you for asking, Clint! Not much better, tbh, dragging myself around a bit though. Slow process!

[avatar]

thank you for all your listening and comments. i really appreciate it.

Thanks for the kind words, Oblivion is certainly different for me.

[avatar]

Thank you so much for taking your time to listen and comment on „for what it is worth“! :) I appreciate it a lot!

[avatar]

thanks for listening- yeah, I play your basic blues harmonica, diatonic. The other types, chromatic harps, are not easy to play!...(its basically two diatonics fused together)

[avatar]

Hi, @resonut123, Thanks for commenting on You Take Me There, and for your opinion on acoustic v. electric. Glad you liked riding the wave.

[avatar]

Thank you for giving our tune, "Lost at Sea," a listen and leaving some kind feedback! We are still wrapping up our retreat-of-sorts, but look forward to hearing some of your work over the coming few days. FAWM on!

[avatar]

Wow. I love what you did with Not at Etta's Anymore. Thank you. Thank you.

[avatar]

Yes. Of course. Can’t wait to hear what you do with Not at Etta’s Anymore.

[avatar]

I’m so glad you made a “detour” to my collab with @mctown too! Thanks for the amazing comment on our song. I need to check out your music this summer season! Have a lovely weekend—hope it’s full of music!

[avatar]

Thanks for the comment on Slow and Steady. I was definitly getting a bit of a Jamaican vibe and thought it could make a decent ska song, but I didn't know if that was me justifying it so that I could make some room for a second verse. Learning that musically Rock Steady is slow ska really has me thinking that there is something in that direction and I'm probably going to try out a version that is a bit more mid-tempo, although probably not full Ska.

[avatar]

Thanks for your nice comments on "Speak!" Rock on, man \m/
