hi! I'm a composer, producer, and aspiring music licensor for Film/TV. It's my 2nd year here.

I'm trained in classical piano, have been playing for over a decade, and started making my own music last year through FAWM. My toxic trait is staying up until 2 AM to finish a song even if I have work the next day lol.

I mostly make neoclassical, feel-good lo-fi music and soundtrack, but also listen to a lot of alternative/indie, so it would be great to make some of those this year. I love hearing metaphors and idioms in lyrics.

Are you interested in co-writing together? Drop a message on my soundboard to chat!

My latest project is creating an original soundtrack album for a suburban fantasy inspired by East and Southeast Asian culture, history and the mystery of the Tomb of Qin Chi Huang & The Terra Cotta Army https://soundcloud.com/nannerll/sets/terra-cotta/s-y9Zyg6VXYs9?si=17857d87891041a398afd29ad2c2ea77&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing

It's always intentional with me :-) Thanks for the comment; I'm glad you liked "Unexpected item..."

I *love* Damage! I splashed out on Damage 2 during one of Heavyocity's sales. It's well worth getting, too.

@mctown

I have some lyrics on my page...that haven't been taken... look and see if anything hits you.. Highway of Blue Sky , maybe..

[avatar]

Thank you very much for listening to and commenting on my songs! I appreciate the feedback.

Would you mind if I drop you an email to ask a couple of questions?

Cool

Thanks for the comment on 'Now is the Only Time'. If you're interested, the effects on the 'baggage of the past' lines were EQ to really thin down the vocal and then a phaser to add the 'wobble'. Wanted to contrast the alternating lines,

I got so much catching up to do with listening and commenting - you just keep rolling along on your way to 50!
And yeah - I'd definitely be down to work on a chill vibe! I'll follow your lead!

Hey there, great to see you back and it looks like you are off to a great start!

Heh...I stumbled across those squirrel videos a year or so ago (there's at least one sequel). They're pretty hilarious and act as a good demonstrate of the resilience of squirrels. Also, yes, I may have a few too many interesting instruments.

Thx for your slothcore comment, do have a listen to some more of other people it's sure an interesting style. @elisimo has done a great job with it including an album of various people out on Bandcamp!

@gm7

Oooh, you got a Roli!
I was gifted a Seablock a couple years ago. I'm kinda in the same boat as you with not really feeling it as a midi controller...at least not to use on a regular basis. I DO like the bendy manipulation you can do with the "keys", but even then, its kinda finnicky and doesn't really do what you want it to all the time. Perhaps I just need to spend more time with it. But the Songmaker looks cool - what's that attached thing? Is that part of the modular system they use?
Another thing is the bendy feature of the Seablock doesn't work in Reason...or at least I dunno how to get it to. So it ends up being just a weird controller unless I use the software that came with it, which I'm too lazy to learn a whole new DAW lol
Good luck with the Songmaker, it gave great results for you in my opinion; but I also understand the 'not-quite-great' feel to ROLI stuff.

Hi! Thank you for your lovely comments and feedback on my song Jack-in-the-box, I'm glad you like it, I thought it would get annoying on repeat! Loving your work and looking forward to more. Lovely to meet you!

[avatar]

Thanks! The beginning is Native Instruments's "Thrill" (I think it's mostly a sampled waterphone) and Spitfire Audio's "Polaris" (heavily manipulated orchestra samples; the clattering is violins playing Bartok pizzicatos) and my trusty old Korg M3. It set the scene nicely :-)

[avatar]

yeah let's make something new for 50/90!
what do you think of you laying the foundation this time, with me adding stuff to your creation?

@beacon

So good to see you here! We'll have more time if you want to collab!

Yo! Good to see you here! I'm usually kinda slow out the gate, but yeah let's try to make something! (btw, I might a bit...rusty lol)
