FAWMer since 2011, initially just to listen and comment. Finally made it to 14 (lyrics only) in 2019. Every new song is a win and some have been done on stage. Not usually part of 50/90 but going to try this year.

Involved in filk (the fan music of fantasy and science fiction) since 2003. ZERO musical training or involvement prior to that. CoChair FilKONtario 23. Married to Phil Mills who is an active filk songwriter and FAWMer.

Part of monthly filk song circles in the Greater Toronto area, at various fan conventions and people's homes wherever I travel on business. The last two and a half years, I've spent one to three days approx. every other weekend for on line concerts and Zoom circles.

In my other life, I'm a Peer Mentor and Senior Advisor to not-for-profit Executive Directors and board chairs, especially Interim Executives. Moving at a snail's pace towards retirement.

I would love collaborators. Phil gets busy with his own song creation and only chooses some of mine for music composition. Since we write to share songs with friends in circles, acoustic guitar compositions (with chords) have by far the best chance of being performed live. But I'll welcome any style, any instrument!

I woke up this morning with a couple of ideas rattling around in my head. I'll let them percolate while I get showered, dressed, fed and medicated and see what happens.

I completely understand about not wanting to jump back into the fray. Sharleen and I used to volunteer for concom duty many years ago, but there days being a panelist and performer suits me better.

I'm sure I remember following you too! Although it was long after FAWM ended so maybe they'd already copied the data for the new system. Anyway, no matter :). There'll be plenty more songs to swap at the next Zoom circle!

"I am so happy I have weird friends who keep boredom from my life." That is the nicest compliment anyone has paid me in a month of Sundays. Thank you!

As for the arrangement, it's more classic blues than big band. I think I must've had Booker T & the MGs somewhere in the back of my head as a template. But keep listening, the way things are going sooner or later a big band arrangement will make it into my song list.

Yeah, they brought he Gorn back, but they are way different. But I don't know, I liked the old school Gorn. Classic reptilian. :P Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for your visit and comment on my Lonely Unicorn.

Hi! Thanks for the comment on Emperor. I hope you get a song or two out this 50/90!

thanks for all the listens and kind words! :)

Hi, and thanks for listening to a bunch of my songs! I hope you get to write a few this 50/90 - I've heard a couple good ones by Phil!

Thanks for checking out too much greed!
