50/90 2022:
Feels like Fawm was a year ago, though it has been only a few months. I’m excited for my first 50/90 (after my first FAWM). Kisses and/or punches will be delivered by airmail to all the lovely people who made me join lol. Let’s see what this everlasting stream of yet unwritten songs is up to :)

Important note: I don’t know if I’ll be as active as during FAWM as I’m still recovering from something and I‘ll be juggling with a lot of stuff in the next months. I will try to listen to as many songs as I can and hopefully join some challenges anyways. Just so you know ;)

GOALS: Improving my songwriting, squeezing my soul into my music, having fun, reaching 50 would be a bonus. And maybe, just maybe, creating a YouTube channel.

BIO: Jil • she/her, but I’ll take anything • 31yo • Germany • full-time sleep conductor and legal drug dealer • falling in love through art and music • listening to nearly everything but coming back to the same 5 songs for decades • believing in the spirit realm and everything magical

Influences: Björk, Dead can dance, Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Elliot Smith, NIN, Opeth, Anathema, Gazpacho, Ghost, HiM, No-Man, Slow-dive, Tim Bowness, The Tea Party…. Classical music….and gothic rock in my teens.

Thanks for checking out my songs and for the comments!

Thank you my friend. 3 times in my life missing a bus caused an unexpected and magical change that effected my entire life. Hope it does the same magic for you. :)

@nadine

Thanks for your comment. I just ranted 😆 I only use nearly the same technique for doubling guitar tracks.

@nadine

26 tracks? Wow, that's a lot, I would have guessed some 15. So you did a great job mixing them. Yeah I noticed the doubling, but I was not sure if you did a y-cable on your amp or played twice. Sounds good!

You are very welcome. I never understood why apps are like slim down versions but it looks like this happens too often. Looking forward to hearing from you when you get the chance. No rush. Have a nice day.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I studied @jlampson for three days and trued to absorb the vibe... He might be very happy for my SoundCloud visits lol.

I've sent my message on your soundcloud message box. Thank you.

Thank you for liking „Full Moon reflection“. I'll upload it on Soundcloud and will send you my message. Looking forward to our collaboration.

@nadine

Thanks a lot! Maybe I just found the right placement for my smartphone. I did not even EQ the recording of my acoustic (see voicemail), I only did some witchcraft on the "electric".

How is your field recorder doing? I'm so curious about the recording quality and how you mount and place that thing.

And thank you for your comments on my music and on my collaboration with Bill :)

You are very welcome. I love In your glow so much. It was amazing to discover your song. Thank you for liking my music. I will be honoured, happy and delighted to collaborate with you. Please let me know which piece might be of inspiration and I can send you the copy of wav/MP3 file. I'm on Soundcloud. We can easily exchange private files there. Have a lovely day.

thank you for listening and commenting. last night i was listening to a laurie recotds compilation and i must say i love the really slick commercial doo-wop, but you need good recording equipment and four additional singers too achieve it. so i just try to approximate a horde of semi-drunk revelers chiming in at a party.

@nadine

No worries, I already gave up on synthesizers 2007 after it all went VCA, VCO, LFO, ADSR. Too many knobs, top many (virtual) cables. I stick to melodies!

Thanks so much for checking out It Wasn't me. I appreciate it :)

Head & shoulders! 😂

@nadine

It should be flageollett harmonics, but it sounds more like a vibraphone. I don't mind!

[avatar]

Same to you: thanks for stopping by and listening threefold! Made me smile. Oh, yes, Kurt... rarely mentioned. No insult at all. Going to get me some "In Bloom' now you mentioned Kurt :)

Yes, please do write that perfectly unperfect song! 😀

Thanks for the nice comments on my songs: Gradual and Space is the Place.
Looking forward to hearing some more of your future output.

@nadine

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed. There's no piano on that song. Hopefully somebody can help me to make this song even better.

@nadine

Thank you! Its been a spontwnois pun xD We should talk about that field recorder thing soon. 😀

Great to see you back as well! Have a splendid summer of song-making :)

[avatar]

From what I remember hearing of you, it's really good to see you (and if you happen to write some more stuff, that'd be a treat to many). Cheers, good luck and good summer!

The good thing, the nice thing about 5090 is the ability to accelerate/decelerate, take a week or two off, go overboard, recover, rework. In theory, the pressure is greater than FAWM. in practice, much more relaxed. Fewer people too so more time there. You'll enjoy it. Don't be too anxious for 50 songs, I've only managed that twice over the years!
