Just a regular guy who likes music and video games.
Not the social type. Gloomy at times. I make music for fun and cathartic purposes.
Mostly posting #metal

---- 50/90 2022 ----
I'll be busy with work so I won't be able to post many songs. But I'll try to post some. I don't want to finish with a donut.
And for once, I'll use my voice and not Synthesizer V. I'm no singer, so it's mostly bad imitation of singers I love.

Songs will go here :

Thank you for kindly commenting on my collab with Nadine!

Thanks for the kind comment on "A going and a coming back." There are three things you need if you want to have a go at that sort of thing: a loop pedal (the JamMan Express XT I used was very much a low-end loop pedal, back in the day, but it does what I need it to do), a volume pedal, and an eBow. That's it. Apart from the drums, that's all I used on that track.

@nadine

Thanks! It's two completely different techniques but I haven't decided yet which to practise.

Thanks for your comment on "Roadkill". Did you notice that I tried fry and false both? I'm not sure what to think of my false cords. I just noticed that is really really hard to switch so I should practise only one of them in the next months.

Glad I could make your day bro. Keep making awesome stuff! πŸ˜„

You are very welcome. We have our ideas about what we are capable of but we don't know what else we can do unless we try, try and try again. In my opinion you have a great singing voice but you don't believe you do. You do need to believe it though. The problem is that some people don't have a brilliant singing voice but they believe they do. You do have it!

It's ALL your voice?! Oufz!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed my little experiment in a different genre. Please take a look onto my profile again, we already uploaded a rough draft of our collaboration.

I tried to produce industrial quite often, but I have no idea. Seems like you need that old modular synthesizers and a lot of knowledge about sounddesign. And pedals. Lots of pedals! The only subgenre down there I could manage is aggrotech, but I lack of simple melodies. Maybe someday. Right now I'm not in the mood for electro.

Yeah, the bands you listen to have a strong influence from Trance, Dance and Hands Up. The Trance I listened to never used vocoders or heavy autotune, so maybe that's why I skipped the neighbouring genres and went Industrial instead. It's a matter of taste. Whoever loves it, will like your songs, cause your technical skills are on point. Imho it's REALLY hard, I was just able to recreate this effect with a singer with excessive vibrato. Unintentionally πŸ˜‚

Thank you for listening to Stuck (Half an Apology) and for your very kind comment :)

Thanks for your comment! I never watched Cowboy Bebop, so I can only imagine what you mean. Let's see how this song will turn out when final 😊 Thanks also for explaining your journey and technical aspects. I also learn by mimicing without lessons. It's improving super slow... and sometimes stuck. You're on a good way!

You're welcome. I'm still trying to find out how to mix my voice to the distortion. I always end up in distorted whispers. Or I do that fry noise and am not able to put any word on top. How long did that take you?

Thanks!

@nadine

Thank you! I was not sure about the genre, I'd just Tag alternative lol

170 seems almost sensible. I was thinking it would be way higher πŸ˜‚ Have an excellent 5090, hope you get a decent amount of time for music making, despite work stress.
