Hi Neil, thank you for your kind offer. I don't feel I have the right tools to create music for your brilliant DJ lyric, it needs real instruments, not synthetic sounds I can offer. I wish I could play other instruments, it just wouldn't sound believable with just the piano or synths. I do hope to hear it though.

[avatar]
@brisk

Wow, you just got there! Well done. Thanks for your very kind words on Bring The Pain - glad you liked it. With the plug ins I used I don't really have to do all that much by the way of production, they kind of look after themselves.

[avatar]

Hi Neil, thank you, just sent you my reply :)

[avatar]
@brisk

Glad you liked it - I had a lot of fun doing it. It's funny how these things work, the music box arpeggio was almost the last bit to arrive.

[avatar]
@brisk

It occurs to me that it might get more notice if I repost my Mr Men Demo as a new song rather than add it to yours. Is that okay with you? I don't really mind but it might be nice to get more comments.

[avatar]
@brisk

Hello, I posted a demo of Mr Men - I dont think it is going to change the world, but I really enjoyed doing it and hopefully it's easy on the ear. Easier than the metal verssion at any rate.

[avatar]
@brisk

Thanks for the comment on Without a Net - I really liked @coolparadiso 's words. I haven't forgotten Mr Men! I just realised that me attempting Nu metal was a bit much on reflection. Will rethink...

[avatar]

Thank you! ❤️

[avatar]

Howdy Neil & thanks pard, for reviewing "Casey Jones".

[avatar]

Neil, Thank you for taking the time to comment on Bye, Bye, Prima Donna. I'm glad you liked the Chorus, in particular. Cheslain's choice of music and vocal style was just what I had in mind. Glad it worked for you, too. Thanks!

[avatar]
@brisk

Thanks for adding me to Mr Men, I'll definitely have a go at this soon.
edit: I've had a go, but it has come out as unsmiling, Korn-like Nu-metal. Is that okay?

[avatar]
@jeff9

Thanks for me also for the comment about I Love Your Eyes.

[avatar]

Thanks for commenting on my Xmas song.

[avatar]
@oswlek

Thanks for giving "Eyes" a whirl and for leaving the kind comment, Neil.

I must say, you've been prolific this 50/90! It felt like I had to scroll down for a minute to get to the community area! 😄

[avatar]

Regarding the last lyric of yours I commented on. Art doesn't walk on a straight line.If people can't bend and tolerate stuff then that's on them. Don't worry about it.

[avatar]

Thanks for listening to my skirmish song "A Song of Me" - Even one listener can make my day!

[avatar]

Thank you so much. If you do take a listen please remember to let me know if there's any horrible stuff via email. But alsomake a note if you have any absolute faves. There's a few people helping out and I'm compiling a list of each persons favorites to see if I can come up with a composite "best of best of" 15 or so tracks. I hope you enjoy. Hugs and thanks again.

[avatar]

You're more than welcome. Sorry, but I think I've taken up someone elses lyrics 3 times in 12 years of doing this. Once it was a random assigned collab which ended splendidly, and twice it turned into a dog fight over 3 words... LOL.... Besides the huge project I'm working on this Summer, I've got a book of unsung lyrics as long as my arm to dip in to so I'll have to pass... but it's a great lyric, I hope someone picks it up and please let me know if they do. Hugs.

[avatar]

sure you can play with my lyrics. I even like your additions to the marble song!

[avatar]

Hi, thanks for the listens and comments. To answer your question, slothcore was invented a couple of FAWMs ago, by @candle and @elesimo among others. To qualify as slothcore, a song should (1) be slow (<40 bpm) and (2) somehow "dirty", and (3) leave pauses for naps. There's actually an entire album of slothcore up on Bandcamp. So yes, I'd say slothcore qualifies as a thing. IMO it often has a lot in common with New Age music.

@mal

You are beautiful for that

[avatar]

I have to be honest with you regarding what I am thinking at this point, keeping in mind, that being honest is something I think is frowned on around here at times.
I responded to you directly on your profile page as I am doing now and in response to my question about posting you left me a message on my lyric's thread telling me to post it if I am happy with it. So, since most musician end of collaborations share the finished piece, sending a message to the collaborator's profile page, before posting themselves, you've left it to me and with the link and response to me on that thread to the lyric written instead of directly on my profile page as I did you.
I liked what you did but it sounded cut off at the end. There's a nice rhythmic flow I am into a lot, but I'm wondering. Are you happy with what you've done? If not, then I won't bother posting.
Thanks

[avatar]

Thank you for collaborating with me. I think Please God turned out really good. I like your delivery and the rhytmic flow and beat you created. Can you post it? or Would you prefer I post it?

[avatar]

Thank you for your comment on I'm Not Sick, thanks for listening!

[avatar]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upUeguNIUxQ I tried something with Carnival.

[avatar]

Thank you for listening! I am slow this year- Carnival is on my list to do next!

[avatar]

Thank you for listening!

[avatar]
@kristi

Hi Neil! Nice to meet you too! Thanks for your comments too on my lyrics. The one you inquired about, Love is Everywhere already has a collab in progress. I wonder if there is there another lyric of mine that resonates with you perhaps?

[avatar]

Hi Neil! Thanks for letting me work on music for It Figures. 😄 I published the sound snippet on SoundCloud and linked it in the song.

[avatar]
@brisk

Thanks for the positive comments about Stay Humble and McTown's box song!

[avatar]

Oh good. Take your time if you're busy. : )

[avatar]

Are you still onboard putting music to Please God? Hope you haven't changed your mind.

[avatar]

Thanks for the comment on my burrito song. Burritos really do make me happy. :P

[avatar]

Thanks Neil for your comment on Jack-in-the-box, I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

[avatar]
@gm7

"Basically Beautiful".....this has a great Steely Dan feel and if you read my bio they are one of fav band. Just a great song pop/jazzy feel..tasty! i would be remiss not to say that the arrangement and production are top shelf.

[avatar]

Thank you, will send my message now.

[avatar]

Hi Neil, we had some emails exchange in the past. Is your email still the same? I'll email you as soon as I hear from you.

[avatar]
@sunfire

Would love to collaborate with you on Please God. Look forward to hearing what you come up with.

[avatar]

Thank you for your comments! <3

[avatar]

Thank you Neil. I don't sing on the song, I just recorded the piano so far. I can record the vocal guide but I might need a singer so that the song sounds better. Would you be interested in singing it if I send you my vocal guide? No pressure, please let me know what you think. Thank you.

[avatar]

Hi Neil, you are very welcome. It was a pleasure. Yes, I'll be delighted to create something together with you. Have a great 50/90.

[avatar]

Hi Neil, thanks for checking out and commenting on my Not A War Man lyric. Appreciate it. :)

[avatar]
@chldomn5

hi thanks for your kind and thoughtful comment on my song. love that youve listed your ideas for this challenge in your bio too. i wanna do that now. hope you have a good 5090!
