Happy to be back for my second year.

Looking forward to writing, enjoying everyone's creations and collaborating.

I am a lyricist. I most often write lyrics first but enjoy writing to existing music too.

Hi Andrea, thanks for your message, I really enjoyed our collaboration. Yes, let's do some more. I hope you have a good winter and look forward to teaming up again - probably at FAWM.

[avatar]
@cts

Thank you, Andrea. It's always a pleasure to help bring music to your lyrics. I appreciate the creative flow we have and hopefully there's more collaborations to come. Until next time (or time in-between) be well!

[avatar]

Just a note to say I have now put a demo up for my song "You don't get rid of me so easily"

https://fiftyninety.fawm.org/songs/11655

[avatar]

Thanks for the comments. Hope to hear from you in February. Until then, hope you have a good winter season ahead.

[avatar]

I have put a demo up for "I can't get my head around that". Hope you like it.

https://fiftyninety.fawm.org/songs/11369

[avatar]

...and thank you too for the comment on Lights Out. I'm glad I found that one in time (just!)

[avatar]

Andrea, I'm very slowly catching up with things, and this is a weeks-late thank you for your comment & compliment way back on my Prelude 0822. I wish I'd been able to do and listen more in 5090 this year...

[avatar]

Sorry to have disturbed you with my comment on "Never Leaving".

Maybe: " You can't beat a crowd" would take away from the idea of killing.

[avatar]
@gm7

Thx you Andrea. Kate's voice always adds a great touch to any song.PS congrats on 37 songs/lyrics.

[avatar]
@nadine

Thanks also for your comment on "Fit right in" 😀

[avatar]
@nadine

Thank you! I like what @doggolito did as I only get half as heavy ^^

[avatar]

I've added you to the #tit4tat members list I hope you enjoy.
Thanks again for all the care and listens and your votes! Helps immensely.
Hugs, my friend. Thank you.

[avatar]

Hi, Andrea
Thank you very much for all your comments on lyrics and collaborations I was a part of. I enjoy listening to your collaborations and enjoy reading your lyrics too.
See you at February FAWM.

[avatar]

Right back at you. Your comments are always thoughtful and encouraging. Thank you! You’ve got a way with words, with comments a lyrics. Would love to collaborate more…Look forward to it!

[avatar]
@mikeb

Thanks for the comments on my new rock opera songs! I'm still a long way off from completing the writing, then I have to go back, rewrite any older songs that need updating, then re-record everything, including (hopefully) getting a few guest singers. If you follow/like my facebook page, you'll hear of its release when that finally happens. facebook.com/mikebirchmusic

[avatar]
@cts

Hi Andrea. Just curious - are you sticking around October for listening and commenting?

[avatar]
@kcc

Hey Andrea!
Looks like you had a great season! I missed the boat 😬 ... all of them! Hope all is well looking forward to listening to your collabs!!

[avatar]

Hi Andrea,
There is a difference between Shanties and Sea Songs which many people aren't aware of. To qualify as a shanty the song has to be a work song designed to help the men keep the rhythm on many of the repetitive jobs (like hoisting sails and anchors) that seaman had to do. The shanty man would sing a line (during which the crew rested). Then they all joined in with a response line while heaving on ropes or turning capstans, etc.

A lot of what are popularly known as shanties, are in fact, "Foc'sle songs". These would be sung in the forecastle, where the men had their Rest and Recreation. They would often be accompanied by an instrument, unlike shanties which were usually sung acapella.

I used to be in a true shanty group. So, I would be interested in helping you out after the doors close here.

[avatar]

Thanks for listening and commenting on Open Book. Your comment was especially interesting because it would be a different and maybe more powerful song if it was about a distant parent who would never engage.

[avatar]
@esc4p3

Thanks for the comments on You're Alive, it was my first Collab and it turned my original track from something ok to something amazing. I've realised working with others can really transform the musical experience!

[avatar]

Andrea! Your comments on You're Alive made me smile! So glad you liked the song. It was a really fun collab, and a slightly different style for me, which was fun!

[avatar]

Hi Andrea, thanks for stopping by my songs and for your lovely comments. I’m knee deep in writing for an album which will see me hitting the studio very soon also. That’s my priority over the next 3 months (at least) - I will be around in February for FAWM so if you get involved in that, hit me up then !

[avatar]

[avatar]

Hi Andrea,
Thanks for your comments on Til The End Of Time, and also the comment on my profile page. You're correct, the 'you' referenced in the vampire song is a human. Bit Buffy and Angel maybe! :)
Yes, I didn't think reaching 100 would be possible but it's a possibility now. There are times of the year when I probably struggle to write more than 2 or 3 new lyrics in a month, but 50 90 really seems to get my creativity going. Think the more we write the more ideas flow ... rather than it causing ideas to run out!

[avatar]

Thanks for your great comments!

[avatar]
@brisk

Thanks so much for being so positive about Swansong - lovely message to see before toddling off to bed!

[avatar]
@owl

Thanks for your kind comment!

[avatar]

Sorry I haven't done anything with you this time around-- it's been a weird/hard year for a number of reasons. Keep me in mind for FAWM next February though! Thanks for the lovely comments.

[avatar]

Thanks Andrea. Yes I agree Andy G. was the final part of the morph. The whole process was very interesting, and quite a learning curve for me. But the outcome was great.
Enjoy your last 50 90 days as well and hope to see you again in February.

[avatar]

Hi Andrea. Would it be alright with you if I posted It Wasn't Me on my Bandcamp page?

[avatar]

humbled by your kind feedback on steps of hope, thanks for checking it out!

[avatar]

I would appreciate a sung vocal just to get a feel for your intentions. My email is on my profile.

[avatar]

Of course I will. On my phone sitting in my car, and I’m not picking up the structure and the lyrical flow, but I’m sure that will come with a few listens. I like both the music and lyrics.

@dreamscuba, mind sending me a Logic screenshot, that always works works well as a reference.

I should be able to fit this in sometime tomorrow.

[avatar]

Yippie-Ki-Yay bummer, Andrea. I never heard from you, re: my lyric THE LAWMAN'S RIDE after reading your comment and my posting on your board about my email for you to contact me, Still game, pardner, or have u rode off into the sunset, re: this?

"You received a comment: The Lawman's Ride

[avatar]
@andrea 3w
I think this is such a cool idea. I love this theme of the lawman's true love is his town. I would like to offer more feedback, but it's not really meant for 50/90. If you are interested, please let me know. I think you have a good song waiting to be made"

[avatar]
@nadine

Thank you Andrea!

[avatar]
@tjeff

Andrea, I put you down for B (and have you on stand-by for A). Thx!!

[avatar]
@tjeff

Hi Andrea, just want to confirm your available for superskirmish hosting. Are you wanting to host both E and F? Also, E is 9pm eastern and F is midnight eastern.

[avatar]
@aneil

Thanks so much for your input on my 2 collaborations. Appreciate your positive feedback

[avatar]
@donna

Andrea, thank you for your lovely comment on 'I Want to Go Back'.
Very much appreciated. 😊

[avatar]
@brisk

Ha ha, yes, Eve definitely needs an effective screening method... Thanks for the comment!

[avatar]

Hi, Andrea, thanks for listening and commenting on Not Your Kind of Guy. Gwyn and Georgie sure can put a great song together in nothing flat! So glad you enjoyed it.

[avatar]
@sunfire

Thank you do much, for the nice compliment on Time Travel. Really glad you like it! I'll let you know when the finished song is ready to hear as there is someone working on it now. : )

[avatar]
@cts

Wow - I got A LOT of catching up to do....

[avatar]

Thanks for the heads up on my posting. It seems it won't work if there is an apostrophe in the name. I've changed the file name so it should work now.

[avatar]
@nadine

You're welcome, Andrea! Thanks a lot for your lovely comment, I'm happy you enjoyed!

[avatar]

Thanks for scrolling down in my song list and finding Memories are Everywhere. So glad you like it. It feels real to me because that’s how my friend described her loss, so it’s validating to hear that others can relate to the feeling suggested in that phrase, too. Thank you for listening and commenting. Means a lot.

[avatar]

Thanks for your comments on Bye, Bye, Prima Donna. I agree that Cheslain gave it a "theatrical" vibe. Glad you liked it.

[avatar]

A dear friend of mine and I wrote Enough about our strained relationships with our mothers. After my gram’s funeral, I told her I was going to sing it bc of something my mom said that deeply hurt. My friend was kind and very proud I chose a song over a person that only ever wants to bring me down…that’s who I’m never enough for. Your comments are amazing and encouraging…now I’ve said too much 🤭😁it’s OK here…this community is ❤️

[avatar]

You’re so kind. I just got a songbird tattoo to honor my gram❤️she was a beautiful singer and soul!!

[avatar]
@mikeb

Thanks for the comment on 'Alone', it may take a while, but I hope the ROCK opera is not banned before I finish!

[avatar]
@jeff9

Thanks so much, Andrea, for the nice comments about I Love Your Eyes.

[avatar]

Thank you Andrea for your warm comment on my collaboration with Florian and for all your comments and support.

[avatar]

Thank you for the lyrics - please email them to me - simon at simonashby dot com

[avatar]
@brisk

Thanks for giving Wish Puppet a nice write up - depressing is probably right - straying into self-consciously histrionic self-denigration at times perhaps!

[avatar]
@miga

thanks for the comment on 'dislocated' - you certainly grasped the theme of the song! 😊

[avatar]
@brisk

Ha ha, I am very flattered that you'd prefer my song to WICW, but that doesn't compute to me I'm afraid. Thinking about it, I have the unfair advantage of being able to be much more filthy than he could be in 1942 or whatever. Though "With My Little Stick of Blackpool Rock" is more overtly ...suggestive than WICW.

[avatar]
@brisk

Hello, I don't think I've ever written an independently verified masterpiece before! That is was this song is very funny to me. Thanks for commenting! If you aren't aware of George Formby and his oeuvre, I'd recommend maybe the obvious, like "When I'm Cleaning Windows".

[avatar]

Hello Andrea. Crying Daisy is updated if you are happy to listen to this song. Thank you.
https://fiftyninety.fawm.org/songs/7633

[avatar]

Thanks for commenting on my song "Living Talisman"

[avatar]
@brisk

brill - sent it over! See what you make of that, if anything. No worries if nothing strikes you. No time pressure beyond the end of 50/90

[avatar]
@brisk

Oh brilliant - well, its a bit weird, it actually has a full set of lyrics, in the sense I was singing things to get the tune down, but they are completely... depraved may be a good word to describe them. Certainly incoherent. There might be a line or two in there that you might want to use as a starting point, if you are looking for constraints, but I'd be very happy if you had max artistic freedom really. How can I best send you a link?Thanks so much!

[avatar]
@brisk

Oh, that reminds me - I have a rather eccentric song that I have zero idea for words for - would you like to have a listen to see if you'd like a run at doing lyrics? No is a legitimate answer! There is flexibility in the song structure as the way it came out was very modular and strange, so the bits could be rearranged to be more conventional, bits left out, or the eccentricity preserved... (or augmented?!)

[avatar]
@brisk

Depraved! That's probably right. I think I was going for a Jekyll and Hyde, body and mind kind of dialogue, but with the body doing all the talking and the mind just listening. Does that make sense? Probably not! Thanks so much for listening by the way, I'm having rather an unsettled few weeks so not able to do much at the moment, but will try to get some reciprocal listens in by way of a small tip of the hat.

[avatar]
@jeff9

Thank you, Andrea!

[avatar]

Thank you for listening and commenting on several of my songs. Much appreciated. For Higher and Higher, it would be cool if you did some lyric...Thanks

[avatar]
@brisk

Thanks for the positive Poopy Pants comment! (That sounds so weird.) - I had a weird sort of catharsis writing about it because although it was a bit of a silly subject for a song, it felt really raw because I've not really talked about it since it happened...I guess over thirty years ago!

[avatar]

Hi Andrea. Thank you for your beautiful comments and offer to collaborate on https://fiftyninety.fawm.org/songs/5023
Looking forward to your lyrics. Please take all the time you need.

[avatar]

Hi Andrea! Cool! 😊 From my side, everything about the music is open to discussion. Also no need to tread carefully around me. If you'd like to change something - anything - about the arrangement, performance, etc. just speak up. For example: Do my vocals fit or should we look for somebody else to sing it? More soul? Female? From my personal point of view, the music for Fall with Me is already pretty good; to complete it, I'll mostly revise some of the instrumentation and effects. You can also reach me via e-mail or on SoundCloud, if you'd like to discuss something in private. 😄

[avatar]

Thank you Andrea for your kind comment and beautiful wishes.

[avatar]

I definitely want to collaborate again just not certain of timing. I look forward to whenever it happens...

[avatar]

Thanks for the comment and pointing out my typo. I always appreciate your friendly comments/feedback.

[avatar]

Thanks for checking out "The Lawman's Ride." Glad you think so. You can e-mail me. Link's on my page.

[avatar]

Hi Andrea, I just experimented with a soulful style I have never done so far. Halfway in I found that your lyrics Fall with Me might be a good fit: https://soundcloud.com/florian-hoffmann-music/fall-with-me/s-0mPhHCYF9jS?si=a7a535ce55554214bf6d1a504b7cf79a What do you say? 👍👎

[avatar]
@nadine

Thank you! Social media is a drug. Its a pity that people don't talk about their events or just call every now and then. It's like: Hey I married, didn't you watch on Facebook or Insta? I understand that some suffer FOMO real hard.

[avatar]

Hi again Andrea, it's about Missing You: https://fiftyninety.fawm.org/songs/7549#c22477

[avatar]

Thank you Andrea for your kind comment but it's not a collaboration, it's just my piano :)

[avatar]

Thank you Andrea for your kind comments and support.

[avatar]

Thanks, Andrea, for your comments on Don't Feed The Squirrels. I'm glad you thought the message was clever and enjoyed the Chorus. Phil was great to work with.

[avatar]
@jeff9

Thank you kindly, Andrea, for the kind words about Workaholic Country Blues.

[avatar]

Andrea, thanks for checking out Night Comes For Everyone. So glad you appreciated what we were going for. I am delighted with Eric’s vision for the lyrics.

Also, I appreciate your comments on the lyrics for The Movie In My Mind. I am looking forward to hearing that one when it's completed.

[avatar]

Thank you for your kind comment on mine and LIz´s collab

[avatar]
@nadine

Thank you, Andrea! I'm glad you enjoyed Jeff's take the same as we did!
Btw: I'm still waiting for the bass to upload our collab. Disregarding the situation, our draft will be uploaded mid of September. It won't be public, because we cannot finish the song right now.

[avatar]

Thx for stopping by my page, Andrea. Got your recent message on my board. Had heard and commented on your 4092 collab song w @jeff9 ("I'm Always on the Defense"). Thought it was fab! I should write a country lyric and maybe it'll catch Jeff's music eye, as your lyric had, and he'll see fit to put mine to music and vocals, too.

[avatar]

Thanks for your kind comment on my song "Find Your Light"

[avatar]

Andrea, Thanks for your comments on When Love Ends. I just loved the way Adam interpreted the lyrics. I'm glad the song resonated with you. We have another song in the works.

[avatar]

Hey Andrea! Thanks so much for your warm words on It Figures. 😄 I passed these lyrics for a couple of days, again and again, always wondering why so few people commented it. Was I the only math/science lover falling for this kind of thing? 😅 Your comment shows me that I'm not. 😊 I enabled the download feature for this song over on SoundCloud. I also do intend to revisit this song later and give it some more nerd love. It still needs music for the bridge, for example. 😄

[avatar]

I have kind of a crazy cut-up kind of idea (using the same words but completely rearranging) for the morph. Hope that you are okay with it.

[avatar]
@sunfire

Thank you so much for commenting on Wusses. I can't wait to hear it too!

[avatar]
@nadine

Thanks for your comment, Andrea!

[avatar]

My use of "little girl" and "baby doll" is INTENTIONALLY "demeaning"--that's the character of this clueless guy.

[avatar]

Thanks and I guess it is from anyone who has lost someone to suicide, or attempted suicide.

[avatar]

Hi Andrea, thanks for the comments on my songs. Finishing the lyrics morph is on my to do list after today. Later this 5090 I do intend to check more of your lyrics and hopefully find one (or more) that I feel I could put to music. So I will check back later on that 😀 .

[avatar]

Thank you so much for listening and for your helpful advice Andrea. The song was originally structured like you suggested til I added the chorus on the front end, thinking it was a little too short. I may shuffle it around some sore before I call it good.

[avatar]
@wolfkier

thanks for the lovely comment and the reply. Seems with so many songs I broke the 5090 website code.... :)
Aparantly they're looking to fix it but it's been over 3 weeks now. If you ever need to comment on a song by me do a search for hashtag #WK100 it should bring up many if not all the songs I've posted this Summer.
Hugs.

[avatar]

Thank you Andrea for listening and sharing your thoughts about Ocean of Emotions.

[avatar]

Thanks Andrea

[avatar]

Andrea, Glad you liked Into the Well. Florian really captured the sadness of this poor guy's situation. Thanks for your comments.

[avatar]

Thanks so much for your kind comments on "Out Of Control". I love The Doors, so that was a huge complement. Here's a downloadable link to song: https://phil.mcmilli.com/audio/fawmy/5090_2022/outOfControl.mp3

[avatar]

Thank you. ❤️

[avatar]

For the life of me I don't understand why it's not used more. I keep telling people. They all hate sound cloud and the adds the spam the limited numbers of postings and there is none of that here. It's so easy and free however much you use it.

[avatar]

I only post songs on bandcamp when they are full albums. So many of my songs don't go there. I think I have recorded over 1200 songs. Songs not previously put anywhere I usually put on https://alonetone.com/Coolparadiso

My house is being built so it's going to be a while my studio is in storage. I do have a daw and a mic at a friend's and may be able to do something sometime.

[avatar]

And thx for all your comments as well . I am looking forward to recording a few when I have a house and studio again but sadly that's not likely to be before 50/90 is over. The ones I post with music I recorded before 21 July.

[avatar]

Thank you - you in turn made my day with that comment about the Dad Song!!

[avatar]
@nadine

Thanks, that's very kind of you 🤗 I'm still angry. But it's weekend and I have a guitar and new songs to practise. Hope it helps me to process... Thanks also for your nice words on my lyrics. Enjoy your weekend 😊

[avatar]

Thanks Andrea for your comments on Andrea. It was one of those lyrics that was a bit like a jigsaw - I had various bits but it was hard to work out how they should all fit together. The Elvis bits in particular took a bit of effort - had to listen to a few of his songs before I could identify lines that I thought might work!

[avatar]
@jeff9

Thanks for the like on "I'm Not Sick", Andrea. @stephenwordsmith is precisely as his handle indicates. Worth checking out his other stuff, too.

[avatar]
@nadine

Thanks for stopping by and commenting! I have been quite angry yesterday. Grabbed my guitar to calm down, but I was not able to play slow songs and ended up shredding some nonsense that sounded more thrash metal than I expected. No idea about the lyrics. It's quite easy for me to write heavy and dark stuff though I don't take it for real.

[avatar]
@brisk

Thanks for being so kind about Country Mile - I'm so glad @richaay was able to contribute too. FAWM and 50/90 can be so fun sometimes.

[avatar]

I resent the file. Sorry about that! I'll read your response and listen with fresh ears in a few days. Thanks for the thoughtful lyrics, Andrea!!

[avatar]
@jeff9

Hey, thanks from me, too, Andrea--for the like on our little Christmas number.

[avatar]
@mikeb

Thanks for the comment on 'So Far'. I've been 'warming up' here on 50-90 to get restarted on the rock opera.

[avatar]
@yam655

Thanks for the comment on "Eat Your Face". In my case, I'm known to sing songs to my food. It's like a child having a chocolate bunny and singing a song to it as they devour it, but totally throwing the limits off of it so I can be a grown-ass man singing a song to his sandwich or filet of fish. (Though fish, like people and spiders, are only eaten in songs.)

I've also sung at least one song about being a sandwich. (It was the most depressing song I've ever written.)

[avatar]

Hi, Andrea. Glad you enjoyed Jeff's country treatment of Santa's Only Son. We are also pursuing a child's voice, so we'll see what happens. Thanks for commenting.

[avatar]
@sunfire

Thanks for commenting on Please God, Intimate and The Sandbox. Regarding the Sandbox, you're so right. Many are good at judging but not good at tolerating.

[avatar]

I really liked your lyrics in Undefined! I just sent you a private link to our collab. I need your ears and ideas, Andrea :) No rush. Send me your edits and I'll revisit over the weekend. Have a beautiful day!

[avatar]
@mikeb

Thanks so much for all the song comments!

[avatar]
@hbusse

Thanks for the kind recommendation of @geoff61 and my collabs on the recommended songs thread!

[avatar]

Hi, Andrea. So glad you had a chance to listen Come Back. I, too, couldn't wait to hear what David would do with this lyric, and I'm really happy with the way the call and response worked out. I had a vague idea of what I wanted, but he really nailed it. Thanks for your nice comment!

[avatar]

Thanks for commenting on Down in Dismal Hollow. I've been interested in old timey music lately.

[avatar]

Thanks for your comments and pointing out my error! Funny how I didn't see it!

[avatar]
@nadine

Thanks for you comments! I look forward to finish "Sorting Darker Thoughts" after 50/90. I decided against producing a final version of the "Heavy Jam" as I cannot monitor and produce all. It would be unfair to produce only one version when people want it to be free use. But I look forward to other interpretations.

[avatar]
@geoff61

Thanks Andrea much appreciated 🙏

[avatar]

Thanks for your comment on Santa's Only Son. Yes, that is exactly the situation I had in mind. Now, to see if it's possible to turn the lyric into a real song!

[avatar]
@aneil

thx for your comment on Please God. Have an awesome 5090

[avatar]
@mikeb

Thanks for the comment on my latest collab with Simon.

[avatar]

Hi Andrea. Thank you. I've replied.

[avatar]

Thanks Andrea for your comments on the 'Under Desert Skies' song collab that I did with Mike. Hope that the drought conditions everywhere ease up soon

[avatar]
@sunfire

Thanks Andrea. Stages of life is not one of my best. I'll have to fine tune it a bit when back in Frankenstein's word laboratory. Cheers! : )

[avatar]

Hi Andrea, thank you so much for your kind comments on Reborn and Almost You 🙂

[avatar]
@jeff9

Thanks, Andrea. I'm glad you're good with my treatment of your "I'm Always on the Defense". Thanks for giving me a crack at it!

[avatar]
@sunfire

Hi, Andrea

Thanks for commenting on my collaborator's version of Stage of Life.
Take a look at my lyric alone if you have a moment. There is a lyric posting only too. I would be interested if your thoughts are the same. The version you read was edited by my collaborator on this one.

[avatar]

Thank you for checking out the lyrics for "Look Sharp" I appreciate the feedback! Rich and David actually put together a great demo for this at https://fiftyninety.fawm.org/songs/1406 if you want to check it out!

[avatar]
@jeff9

Thank you so much, Andrea, for your very kind comments on Vibrant Green Heaven. I hoped it wasn't too much of a cheesy treatment of that lovely, tender lyric by @cindyrella.

[avatar]

Thanks for checking out Used to the Illusion! I loved the heaviness of the instrumentation edward came up with.

[avatar]

Andrea! Thanks so much for your enthusiasm for Inconvenient Lovers. So nice to hear.

@jeff9

Thanks for the kind words on Not To Live a Lie, Andrea. And as far as collaborating, I sent you an email.

[avatar]
@jeff9

My goodness, Andrea. I'm blushing at your reaction to I Can't Take Goodbye. Thank you so much for the encouraging words and for the honor of having you put it on the Recommendation Thread. Very gratifying to have such a response from a writer of your talents.

[avatar]
@brisk

I'm glad you liked Buried in a Schoolyard, I thought the words were so evocative.

[avatar]

Hi Andrea. Thank you for your kind comment. Looking forward to collaborating with you again. I've posted a note in my liner notes.

[avatar]
@geoff61

As always Andrea thanks for your comments and kind words. I do write some happy upbeat lyrics but must admit that is not my go to 😀

[avatar]
@jeff9

Thanks, Andrea, for your kind comments on One More Empty Seat. I know it's kinda ragged & rough, but sort of on purpose.

[avatar]
@sunfire

Thanks for commenting on Crossroads. It can be a tough subject, but I am glad were able to understand the character's situation in the write.

[avatar]

Andrea, thanks for the nice comments on Come Back. I'm really looking forward to this as a song.

[avatar]
@jamkar

Thank you for your kind comments on my surprise at work. Long time ago, but still a public health risk.

[avatar]
@jeff9

Hey, there, Andrea. Thanks for stopping by for a listen to Clock Into Our Life and I Hate Love (both versions) and for your very thoughtful and kind comments. Let's maybe do one together some time.

[avatar]
@sheslin

Got it - thanks

[avatar]

Okay...I'll post it...cheers!

[avatar]

Here's what I've done Andrea...if you approve, do you want to post it or would you prefer I did? I really enjoyed working on your lyrics...👍

[avatar]

Thanks Andrea, will do...

[avatar]

Hi Andrea...I'm working on your fine lyrics and just wanted to know how you wanted to be credited on Soundcloud i.e surname or just @andrea ?

[avatar]

Thank you for your kind and thoughtful comments, Andrea!! <3

[avatar]

Thanks Andrea...I'll see what I can do and let you know...👍

[avatar]

I enjoyed making Ready or Not. Fun trying new voices and music styles, using different instruments and sorting out Garageband loops. Just having a fun summer playing. I keep listening to the fine selection of styles and instruments used by the people here. It is opening. Up worlds to me.

[avatar]
@wolfkier

Thanks for the kind words. No, I don't think I have your email. Please just send me a 'hi" at wolfkier(AT)gmail(DOT)com and I'll respond with an attempt to answer your question...
Hugs.

[avatar]

Thanks for listening to both versions of I Hate Love and weighing in on which one you liked better. I keep changing my mind about my favorite one! Jeff was great to just dive into this lyric and interpret it in more than one song. Very fun collab!

[avatar]

Hi, Andrea. Thanks for your compliments on You Take Me There. It was a long-term goal of mine to have a song with Wacha. I'm glad she picked it up. 😄

[avatar]
@sheslin

Gotcha. Thanks for getting back to me 😀 Thank you also for your lovely feedback on I Run and This Tattoo Is Not For You. I really appreciate it!

[avatar]
@jeff9

Thanks for dropping in on Predator and Prey, Andrea!

[avatar]
@mikeb

Thanks for all the song comments!

[avatar]

Thanks for all the listens and comments. I always appreciate what you have to say.

[avatar]
@oswlek

I figured you were talking about the metaphorical musical birth canal. 😃

[avatar]
@oswlek

You're right, I can see the button now. Doh!

[avatar]
@arkka

Thank you!

[avatar]
@nadine

Thank you Andrea! My DAW is a great tool for sketching, but I won't finish a song with MIDI guitars and my singing. I just can't stand the sound whereas bass and drums became tremendously better in the last years. I hope somebody helps me to turn it into something better someday. I'm happy that you enjoyed my song from a songwriter and lyricist perspective. This is what counts 😀

[avatar]

You are very welcome, Andrea. Totally likewise, thank you for all your comments and support.

[avatar]
@marthie

Thank you for listening!

[avatar]
@jeff9

Ditto from me, Andrea!

[avatar]

So glad you got a kick out of Cranky Old Men. Thanks for the comments!

[avatar]

Thank you so much Andrea for your kind comments, for sharing your thoughts and for letting me know regarding our collaboration on Lullaby :)

[avatar]
@nadine

Thank you! To be honest, I was just ranting and wrote all my thoughts down.

[avatar]

Hey! Awesome! Feel free to email them to me and I'll check them out :)

[avatar]
@cts

You can count on it, ma'am! Most definitely!

[avatar]
@cts

Sooooo...are you on vacation?

[avatar]

Andrea, Thanks so much for your comments on But I Did. I love the dimension that Dom brought to the project. So glad you liked it.

[avatar]

Thanks for your comments on my movie title effort. Was a fun prompt to get

[avatar]

Thanks Andrea! I just wanted to let you know the "character" I will be singing from :)

[avatar]

Thank you for your kind comment on my collab with Patty, Andrea!! I look forward to our collab, too :) I've been sketching out ideas. I've been inspired by the show "Maid" for your lyric. I'll email a demo soon to see if you like the direction.

[avatar]

Andrea, So happy you like the song version of But I Did. I felt so lucky to get to collab with Kate on this. She did a fantastic job of bringing the lyrics to life. She made it really special. Thanks for your comments.

[avatar]
@nadine

Yeah, all cool! Talk soon and enjoy 🤘

[avatar]
@nadine

No worries on taking time sone time for the blues. I am not sure if we can pull everything off during 50/90. I'm looking forward to your ideas! Are you OK with publishing on SoundCloud, YouTube and Bandcamp?

I wish I could help you on "Another side of me", but unfortunately I'm not into power metal these days and I can't play a real electric guitar. These type of songs need a strong classically / musical trained vocalist. I hope you find somebody 😀

[avatar]
@nadine

Thanks for your comment on "The Wind". I was very melancholic when I composed the instrumental, so it just flowed with John's lyrics. He did a great job!

[avatar]

Andrea, I'm glad you could relate to the lyrics for But I Did. Let's see how Kate handles this one--when she gets back from vacation.

[avatar]
@atitlan

Thanks for your comment on 'The Bad Stuff'. Made a nice change to come from a sarcastic angle rather than just a straight protest lyric.

[avatar]

Thanks for your kind words! Will check out all your lyrics tonight, although I have no doubt that they're all amazing!

[avatar]
@nadine

Super cool, @andrea and @davidtaro . I look forward to see this happen 😊
@andrea can you please send us both a mail, so we have your contact data and terms (crediting, editing, constraints, uploading...)?
@davidtaro you'll get the information on instrumental etc. asap.
I update the song info. All other details via mail. Have a nice weekend!

[avatar]

Hey @andrea and @nadine I’m more than up for doing a bit of singing based on some of Andrea’s lovely lyrics 😄 haven’t managed to work with you yet, so would be a pleasure!!

[avatar]
@nadine

Thanks for your comments! I am so happy that you enjoyed my blues songs. Thanks also for the offer on lyrics for my "Quarterlife Blues". I am okay with waiting. But since I won't do the vocals (cause I sing worse and never felt as singer), I will ask @davidtaro if he already has a vision or not. I am okay with teaming up with both of you, or any. You both have skills, it's just a matter of communication.
Enjoy your vacation 😊 And yes, dust off your guitar and try. It's worth it. I have a completely different approach than on piano.

[avatar]
@sunfire

Thanks for commenting on Beyond Repair. Glad you like it! : )

[avatar]
@panch

Thanks for letting me have a go at The call of the void. If you let me have your email address I'll send you a demo (it may be a day or 2). My email is markpearsonmusic@yahoo.co.uk

[avatar]

Thank you for all of your kind comments, Andrea! I really appreciate it. Your email was received. Sorry it took me longer, but I was thinking of what to say:)

[avatar]

Thank you for listening to "Speak," and for your lovely comments :)

[avatar]

Andrea, Nice of you to comment on Broken. I agree with you that David's vocals were pretty darned awesome! I enjoyed working with him.

[avatar]

Thanks and you didn't miss it!

[avatar]

Thank you so much, Andrea for your beautiful comment on my full moon piano piece. It's always interesting to read your comments.

[avatar]

Thanks for the encouragement. GarageBand has been a steep learning curve. I have often wished I took the time years ago to learn how to read music or play an instrument. Even though i have time on my hands now, learning technical things can frustrate me. But i had a lot of fun singing to a retro guitar and fancy drums. So it was a good morning.

[avatar]

So glad you liked Baby, What About Me. I love the way talented musicians and vocalists can take a lyric sheet and turn it into something! :)

[avatar]

Thank you, Andrea, for your comments on Small Dreams. So glad you liked it. Sounds like you have some more songs in the works. I'll look forward to hearing them.

[avatar]

I haven't forgotten you. I am just sorting out some rainy day projects and holiday planning. It Wasn't Me will be along in another day.

[avatar]

Thank you so much, Andrea! I'd love to read your revised lyrics so we can work on something together this summer. Are you posting them here or would you like to email them to me? Either way works for me.

[avatar]

Thank you so much Andrea for your beautiful comment on my collaboration with Kate on I'll Take a Train. It was amazing to hear Kate's vocals.

[avatar]

Andrea, So glad you got a kick out of Damn, Damn, Damn (A Love Song.) Thanks for taking the time to take a look.

[avatar]
@nateger

Sure thing. My email is nathangerry@gmail.com. I'm looking for to your lyrics!

[avatar]
@davidkav

Thank you thank you thank you for your wonderful comment on “Everything Shines Forever.” So grateful for the feedback. You all are making me seriously think about using that song in place of my title track for my forthcoming EP. I have you all to thank for that.
I am egregiously behind on listening to music. I will do so soon. Thank you for your patience. Keep writing. You got this! And again, thank you!

[avatar]

Andrea, I loved your responses to stephenwordsmith's I'm Not Sick. And thank you for your comments on Bonnie and Clyde. I'm glad you think it works.

[avatar]

Thank you so much for taking your time to listen to my first song :) I’m happy that you loved it!

[avatar]
@brisk

Thanks for being nice about Second Chances. I think my hatred for the song has cooled a bit now - glad you like the chorus, I think that's my favourite bit too!

[avatar]

Hey! Welcome to you too! Definitely up for another collab, your lyrics are awesome!

[avatar]

Nice!! My all-time favorite Broadway show is Phanton Of the Opera. Amazing!! Cool, looking forward to hearing it! :)

[avatar]
@nateger

I'm glad you resonated with the ideas (mostly)! Take your time with getting back to me and I'm looking forward to what comes to you

[avatar]

Thanks for your kind comments on my Old Friend lyric. Glad you enjoyed it so much. I certainly enjoyed writing it. :)

[avatar]
@nateger

Awesome! I'm glad to be paired with you. Here's a couple topics that could be fun:

1) your worst fear
2) a perfect day
3) your desert island CD
4) an ode to your favorite food
5) should I grow out my leg hair

Maybe one of these or none of these resonate but let me know 😋

[avatar]

I used to live in the Riverdale section of The Bronx 1999-2005 😀

[avatar]
@geoff61

leave it for a week or so, everyone is bedding in. Listen to songs and if you like then tell them and say I'd love to collab if you are up for it, check out my lyrics when you have time :-)

[avatar]
@geoff61

thanks for the read and comments Andrea, I'm a little behind on what's posted so far but I'm gonna read yours next :-)

[avatar]
@hbusse

Thanks so much for the listen and kind comment on My Perfect Friend! You are the 2nd person to mention the musical theater feel, which I hadn’t thought about before but am starting to see what you mean! 😊

[avatar]

Hi, Andrea, Thanks for checking out Broken and for saying it felt real. That's what I was going for. It's always a fine line between Too Raw and Too Safe. Looking forward to your next lyric.

[avatar]
@mikeb

Thanks for the comment on my first 50/90 song - didn't want to bring (heart)tears to you!

[avatar]

Hello, Andrea! Thanks for your your Mold Flower comment!

[avatar]

Andrea, I'd love to collaborate on something. Let's plan on it...

[avatar]
@sunfire

Thanks for voicing yourself on Mass Murder. Glad you liked the bridge.

Anf thank you for commenting on The First was the Last. It really was! lol

[avatar]
@mikehex

Thanks for your listen and comments on "Nicholas Cage"! This was a really fun one, shouting that name over and over turns out to be pretty cathartic

[avatar]

Hey Andrea!

[avatar]
@cts

Hey there! Welcome back! I anticipate with great delight what music will come to your mind. I'm sure it's going to be epic, if not killer!

[avatar]

hello!

[avatar]

Hey, Thanks, Andrea! I'm glad you're here, too. Looking forward to hearing your songs!

[avatar]

Hi Andrea! Welcome back 😀 Happy songwriting this summer!
